Deadline day more than likely for Sancho, Antony and Malacia. Probably only £15m or so I'd say for Sancho & Malacia but another £20m a year saved in wages. Antony I've no idea what will happen as he only wants Betis but they can't afford him and we only want a permanent transfer.

Garnacho will go earlier. It's a world cup year and he's on a low enough wage. I think if Garnacho/Chelsea try and fuck us about with that one to drive the price down then we'll dig the heels in as he's signed a new deal not long ago.

I reckon you've undervalued a few there.

Given your need for bodies. Wouldn't surprise me if you couldn't take one or two Chelsea lads, in swap for Garnacho.

Scratch that, thats how you end up with shite players.

Its weird how many of your players like the idea of playing for Chelsea. I'll never understand why someone would want to play for Chelsea over Newcastle or Man Utd. Such a soulless club.

The Athletic reckons we think the price is too high whereas Romano reckons we're waiting on the green light from the player. Latter sounds bollocks to me, as I don't think Newcastle would be bidding these amounts if they didn't already have a green light from the player.

All guesswork but I don't think we're seriously involved in this and expecting a "here we go" for Newcastle in the next 24-48 hours.

Feels like there was a concerted effort to get the player to publicly say he wants Man United, so you can try and lower the price/revise the terms of payment.

Seems the parties involved a bit too savvy for that. Even if he did, suppose it made little difference with Mbuemo.

We have the money to sign him now. We would just need sales to satisfy PSR next June if we drop another £70m on a striker.

What I've heard is that it's not even PSR stopping you, but you are buying on credit, and the limit of the credit will stop you before PSR? Also heard that you have just enough credit for Sesko, but after that you'd barely have room to do anything.

Tells you all you need to know about how FFP are "protecting clubs against themselves".. A club like Man Utd running out of money to spend before reaching their PSR limit.:lol:

Deleted. Can’t be bothered with a Man Utd debate 😂

To the younger generations the story of Chelsea is of constant success, its super easy to see why they appeal.

Naah, you have to look at the big picture. Wilson was useless and Isak can't press after 60 minutes. We are going to play around 50-55(?) games this season, and replacing Isak with a top talent and a proven EPL striker, who both are not injured often + money to spend, is a smart move. If Isak would be going to PSG, I wouldn't even care. Him going to Liverpool is the shitty thing here.

Of course this all depends on Sesko being a good pick. If he is Beto mk 2, then we have made a horrible mistake.

Wilson can’t press after 60 is smelly bull shit. That’s after 30+ games where it starts to take its toll, having someone who can come on for him is massive and sees that not be an issue that’s heavily over played.

Sesko has to come in and be a major hit to even have it be a net squad positive. Even if Isak went to PSG, it’s still terrible stuff. He’s an absolute standout striker.

Can we add a journo tier list before people post stuff from now? It's starting to get tiring no exaggeration

Tier 1 (ITK) - Shadow Puppets, Ando7, Francis Chipp

Tier 2 (Reliable but cartel shills) - Ornstein, Romano

Tier 3 (Sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit) - Hope, Downie, Graves

Tier 4 (As useful as a nuns tit) - Edwards, Waugh, Bailey

Tier 5 (Burnsie) - Burnsie

Goldbridge is having an absolute meltdown and our bid hasn't even been accepted. Glorious.

By "meltdown" do you mean contrived acting to generate clicks? ;)

Isak-->SESKO

Wilson-->WISSA

Dubravka-->RAMSDALE

Longstaff--> Creative hard working midfielder (e.g. Pacqueta, Harvey Elliott, Ramsay)

Pacy RCB

Another CM on the cheap

Time is running out but this would still enable us to compete across all comps.

There's some truth in what you've said, but not all of it.

It's true that over the past few years, especially in the grossly mismanaged Woodward years, we used a revolving credit facility to fund transfers. This facility was maxed out at £300m by the end of 2023. We tend to pay this down over the course of a season. £120m was paid off this recently after Ratcliffe's cash injection, but it currently stands at around ~£200m. So there's ~£100m in available credit.

I believe our cash balance was sitting at ~£75m this summer before any incomings. That's why we try and negotiate fees in instalments, and use the cash flow to fund the transfers rather than borrowing anymore credit as that obviously increases club debt and subsequently interest.

Cunha - £62.5m, paid in three instalments, so £20.8m cash this summer.

Mbeumo - £65m, paid in four instalments, so £16.25m cash this summer.

If we wanted to, we could use the £100m on the revolving credit facility and go and buy Sesko outright. That's what we would have done in the past, but that's why we're in this mess now. Interest is killing the profitability of the club so I believe INEOS are trying to get this down as much as possible while still trying to remain competitive.

In terms of running out of money though? No, not even close.
