Isak-->SESKO

Wilson-->WISSA

Dubravka-->RAMSDALE

Longstaff--> Creative hard working midfielder (e.g. Pacqueta, Harvey Elliott, Ramsay)

Pacy RCB

Another CM on the cheap

Time is running out but this would still enable us to compete across all comps.

Think we'd only get that second CM if we sold Willock somehow, or loaned out Miley.

There's some truth in what you've said, but not all of it.

It's true that over the past few years, especially in the grossly mismanaged Woodward years, we used a revolving credit facility to fund transfers. This facility was maxed out at £300m by the end of 2023. We tend to pay this down over the course of a season. £120m was paid off this recently after Ratcliffe's cash injection, but it currently stands at around ~£200m. So there's ~£100m in available credit.

I believe our cash balance was sitting at ~£75m this summer before any incomings. That's why we try and negotiate fees in instalments, and use the cash flow to fund the transfers rather than borrowing anymore credit as that obviously increases club debt and subsequently interest.

Cunha - £62.5m, paid in three instalments, so £20.8m cash this summer.

Mbeumo - £65m, paid in four instalments, so £16.25m cash this summer.

If we wanted to, we could use the £100m on the revolving credit facility and go and buy Sesko outright. That's what we would have done in the past, but that's why we're in this mess now. Interest is killing the profitability of the club so I believe INEOS are trying to get this down as much as possible while still trying to remain competitive.

In terms of running out of money though? No, not even close.

Goldbridge is having an absolute meltdown and our bid hasn't even been accepted. Glorious.

Toucher is doing it for engagement bants. Weird fucking Partridge sounding grifter.

Even if this is just speculation, I would hope Leipzig would be giving out this message. Sesko needs to commit like we have and make his mind up.

By "meltdown" do you mean contrived acting to generate clicks? ;)

Yes and no. He's a rage baiter for sure, but I don't pay enough attention to how he operates. Does he usually Tweet so frequently?

Don’t think we should loan out Miley. Big season for the (now) big lad.

Wouldn't be against it. Sign Paqueta or Gallagher as the 4th CM midfielder who'd play the majority of games, get a loan/cheap 6th choice option to go and let him get games. The one I've been harping about for months is get Ndidi for £9-10m and send Miley to Leicester for a season.

I'd keep Miley as he has the basic capabilities to play holding midfield and can drive forward without losing the ball. Willock injury has screwed us over if he was meant to go Fulham. We need more press resistant players in the team.

Wilson can’t press after 60 is smelly bull shit. That’s after 30+ games where it starts to take its toll, having someone who can come on for him is massive and sees that not be an issue that’s heavily over played.

Sesko has to come in and be a major hit to even have it be a net squad positive. Even if Isak went to PSG, it’s still terrible stuff. He’s an absolute standout striker.

Replacing Isak with 2 strikers, one of them proven in EPL and another a big talent, is a good move.

Isak is a great player, but if this happens (and we use extra money smartly) we are better off.

Dropped in on Goldbridge's show this morning. Firstly, what a knob. Secondly, the cope on the Man U side (at least from him) is strong. Bascially begging Newcastle to pull out because the player 'clearly wants us'

He might be right tbf. In which case Sesko can decline our offer and we can move on.

Looks like Brent has reeled in another one.

Goldbridge isn’t even a Man Utd fan. He’s piggy backed them purely as a business model.

He’s a goon and shouldn’t be taken seriously by anyone.

Was there for 5 minutes, is that what he's always like??

Mark Goldbridge is a persona. :lol: His name is Brent Di Cesare.

He rage baits everyone, including Man United fans. He says something that will rile you up, you'll share it, people will watch it and he'll make another million this year.

I thought you meant David Brent for a minute :lol: as he does have some similarities.  More deliberate Partridge than Brent.  But I can see both.
