I'm not bothered either way, but hopefully he does well. Howe's the man for improving players beyond what they've shown before, so I will wait and see. Would be nice to see him come good to wind up Arsenal fans too. Also keeps our two keeper spots locked down with Howe's favourite sort of random English name generator types.

I know this account falls somewhere between reliable and twitter bullshit but whoever it is, certainly isnt a Newcastle fan but seems to rate Ramsdale.

 

Its one of those deals which will look great in the fullness of time.

 

I know im in the minority but im pleased with this move. Its a much needed fresh face.

 

I suspect we will claw a bit of that 4m back on Dubravka or Greek fellas wages if he goes, so its likely to cost us very little.

Most whinged on here signing Pope, saying it wasn't an upgrade on Dubs. It was. Remove the injuries and we may not even be in for a keeper. Dubs tbf, fought back, and removed some of the weaknesses in his own game. Not bad for a mid 30s player.

 

Ramsdale will bring competition, and we have 2 PL starting GK on the books, which is great considering Pope has questions marks on his fitness and glaring gaps which seem to be getting worse. Up to him to improve like Dubs did.
