He is better. His fitness might not be good enough/reliable though. That’s my concern.

Willock literally has no end product, zero. If Ramsey can score, create and not let the ball bounce off his shin into touch consistently, he's an upgrade

Not sure we can afford that. Surely ? Plus squad places must be pretty limited now

Nah, I reckon we’ve still got at least 4 places available (including Thiaw).

Hall, Miley and Seung-Soo won’t take up a place.

I said he’s better than Willock. Maybe you were just agreeing with me though.

I know. I should have replied to the comment you replied to, but what's done is done. Glad we're on the same page - it's important to me

I trust Howe to work his magic ™️ on almost anyone but that's hard to do when the player is constantly on the fucking treatment table, like

Ah well, him, Willock and Botman can be physio friends (👍👍) at least 😅

Edit: it's not so bad I guess, and I am happy we're actually fucking signing someone, it's just... very underwhelming, haha. As has been said, much rather we signed the guy from Leicester.

There's better than Ramsey for similar money in different leagues. If we were going to target Villa, its Rogers we need. Spending a huge amount on Ramsey is mental. Jordan Ibe kind of signing. At this stage I'm hoping we spend none of whatever money we have until we get a competent upstairs group. Which won't happen anytime soon, but whats another 5 years in the grand scheme of things.

this is a mental take given our hit rate, mind.

I don't think so, he can actually impact PL games. Fitness issues obvious apart.

His stats don’t suggest that’s the case though, and Villa fans are not bothered if he goes which is a worry.

Even if we could argue that he was an upgrade, it would be minimal and he wouldn’t get in to our starting eleven, so you would have to wonder what the point of it is.

We should either spend on a project player with a high ceiling, or go big on a first team player that pushes Joelinton out.

I genuinely wonder who people think brought in all the players that have got us where we are?

there isn’t a midfielder within our reach who gets in our team though. We’ve arguably got the best 3 in the league.

anyone who comes in is coming as a rotation/backup option.
