Leeds United vs. Newcastle United: 30/08/25 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)

I think we go like this:

                           Pope

Trippier.  Botman.    Burn.    Livramento

              Miley.   Bruno.   Ramsey

Elanga.              Osula.          Barnes

I thought they were crap against Everton aswell. They played fast but lacked quality. The game was like pinball, literally every few passes someone gave it away, it was a really poor game settled by lucky penalty decision.

However with all the players we have missing and Osula likely the only striker option. I think a draw would be par and a win would be excellent given the circumstance.

Sure thiaw and Ramsey etc can come into the side and should be good enough to do the job but they will both be unfamiliar with their teammates still so patterns of play will feel a little disjointed for us.

Half 5 kick offs away from home, especially there is a recipe for a cracking atmosphere. Hopefully our players can manage that side of things, as even with the injuries we're a much better side than these.

I was there in 2016 which was a Sunday afternoon (I think...) and the 1230 in 22/23 and they don't half make some racket to be fair to them. The acoustics of the ground help for sure.

Don't mind Leeds me, which I take is an unpopular opinion. I think the Premier League is better off with them in it.

They've looked poor in the two games I've seen so far. Lots of energy but not much conviction in front of goal. If we had a competent striker I'd be disappointed with anything less than a win. Feels like a lot of points could be squandered due to Isak downing tools.

Same, much rather Leeds in here than the likes of the 3 Bs (Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton)

Yeah Leeds Man U always worth a watch, particularly at elland road. Not from that fixture but the one don revie changing at ewood for during Matt busbys minutes silence was an iconic, though distasteful moment.

IMO It'll be:

                     Pope

Livramento  Schar   Burn    Hall

    Bruno    Tonali     Ramsey

Elanga           Osula          Barnes

I think Eddie will start Willock instead of Ramsey.

That midfield looks sexy. Ramsey finding pockets with Tonalis and Bruno’s quick progressive passes. Would also mean that Osula isn’t the focal point in every attack. He can then focus more on running in behind.
