mackems vs. Newcastle United: 14/12/25 @ 14:00 (Sky Sports)

Absolute dream scenario for me is like the Everton. Ruthless, score our chances, be 3 up by 60th min mark and watch all the pink seats appear from there on.

We will create chances as we always do, just we need to start being more clinical with them away from home.

Midfield key for me. We have the quality that’s levels above, but the players need to show it whilst remaining emotionally disciplined.

Need to put Xhaka in his place early doors. Watch him wilt and the rest of their team shrivel up like the dickless wonders that they are. Fucking bang up for this now, just gotta show our class and trample them. In honour of John Cena's final match we just have to show RUTHLESS AGGRESSION

Tonali needs to step up loads. We know how class he is which makes his recent performances all the more puzzling. Looks a shadow of the player he can be. Miley has to start alongside Bruno, plus Tonali or JL.

Tonali is ideal for a derby and will have played in more hostile atmospheres than they can summon. Bruno will start and Joelinton would have done if he was fit. All for local lads playing and a real chance for Miley to earn his place (if he hasn’t already).

What % chance do we think Wissa starts with Woltemade? [emoji38]

Depends on the analysis. They don’t tend to dominate possession unsure whether they sit back and hope to score on the break. If we need to put them under up the pitch there’s a chance he starts both, but given absence of replacements it is a very low chance.

He's off the boil atm - I'd play Miley ahead of him for Sunday

I just want us to start AG on the RW and Barnes on the LW… just once even!

Wouldn't remove Gordon from LW when he's coming into form like. Unlucky for Barnes but he's on the bench at the weekend for me. Tony Gord and Juice... and the Wissa stuff is mind games and he's straight in at CF.

Wissa wont start but I would start him wide.  He played there for Brentford mostly before Toney was sold.

You would start a player who hasn’t played for months, in a position he hasn’t played in for years, in an away derby against your fiercest rivals?

For all the choppy displays we've possibly played better than them over the season if the stats are anything to go by (never watched them).

Glad I'm not feeling it for various reasons, Time of year, general post cup win 'what's my motiviation' vibe - especially with the league, other stuff. Usually (pre Ashley) it was a lingering annoyance in the back of the mind from the moment the game before finished.
