Newcastle United vs. Chelsea: 20/12/25 @ 12:30 (TNT Sports)

Can't see a chance Wissa starts after his first game yesterday and such a short rest period. Presume Gordon comes back in, Miley at RB again. Joelinton to come into midfield makes sense given his complete rest yesterday?

Praying Hall is actually fit to play. Curious if Pope comes back in too or Ramsdale keeps his spot.

Always feels like we do well against them at home regardless of each others form.

Key will be to keep Palmer quiet and sack James at every opportunity. That then reduces all their quality to progress the ball. It’s key we win so we go into Man Utd game with a bounce because back to back wins against sides we have to finish above is huge for our season.

Not a clue how we line up, hopefully Hall is fit.

Ramsdale

Miley, Thaiw, Schar, Hall

Tonali, Bruno G, Joelinton

Murphy, Woltemade, Gordon

Eddie said Joelinton would only come on in an emergency, he’s managing an injury. Can’t see him being fit to start on Sat.

We need to rise to this again. We were hurting before last night but we rose to the challenge and went some way to righting things.

Sorry about the 12.30 kick off lads and lasses but we need to be so up for this and create an atmosphere that will rock the place to it's foundations.

We're going to be up against it with so many players out, but often adversity has produced our most memorable performances.

People on here have been hankering for an atmosphere lately. Let's everyone fortunate enough to be in the stadium make it happen, no open criticism just stick together as we do and unrelenting support from the first whistle to the last.

That Willock one is one of my favourite games post-takeover.

Was a cracking atmosphere that night.

Watched it in the Outback Bar in Benidorm with my mate and two old blokes from Wallsend we met on the plane. We were all kicked out and issued bans from the venue within 30 minutes of full time we were that mangled

Got to think of the positives. At least we don't have to wait around for them to ruin the weekend. Straight in there and move on. 👍

Hope you’re doing ok Dokko. Had a vibe from your posts that suggests things are rough, hope it’s just related to the football and how dispiriting the season’s been and that you’re doing well otherwise

If the fates should so cruelly conspire that victory eludes us on this most consequential of occasions, one must concede that this fixture shall, with almost Shakespearean inevitability, represent the final chapter in the managerial tenure of Mr Edward Howe, whose continued stewardship of our beloved club would become, alas, an untenable fantasy, clung to only by the deluded and the hopelessly sentimental.
