Not sure why people are talking about this trip like we're visiting the moon [emoji38] takes about the same time as a drive to Brighton.

It’s shorter than NYC->LA which sports teams do here without any complaints

Think it will be:

             Pope

Trippier Thiaw Burn Hall

      Tonali Ramsey

          Woltemade

Elanga  Gordon  Barnes

Malick Thiaw, Dan Burn and Joelinton are all one booking away from suspension in this competition, Is a bit grim with our injuries

But no American sports teams are then subsequently asked to put in the physical output of a football team.

Yeah to play a sport that is either primarily standing around doing nothing (NFL, baseball) or running about indoors for 30-40mins with barely any physical contact (NBA).

Yeah hockey and basketball players don’t exert themselves at all 🙄

(and if they’re not playing every other night they often play back to back nights on the road)

”NBA basketball players typically run between 2 and 3 miles (3.2 to 4.8 km) per game, with high-effort starters and fast-paced guards often covering up to 2.8–3 miles.”

“NHL hockey players typically skate between 3 and 5 miles (4.8 to 8 km) per game, with top-tier forwards and defensemen often covering the higher end of that range.”

(soccer is an average of 7)

That’s still a hell of a lot of exertion.

If we do well with a few goals, would make sense for them to get booked and miss our home leg.

Really surprised no Ramsey if we are going with this system? Feel like Willock is more of a Woltemade alternative than a Ramsey alternative. Ramsey is probably best at receiving the ball deep under pressure in the absence of Bruno.

Not sure I dig Woltemade playing behind Gordon but in Eddie we trust.

I actually think it makes sense, just because of the press. If there's one thing Gordon does really well in that position it's closing defenders down.

I don't hate the idea of Gordon in a central position IF someone is next to him as much as humanly possible.

If he's alone and isolated it's obviously dogshit.
