Most clubs hold on to their players until they get a replacement signed, see Liverpool getting Carroll before letting go of Torres. Not Newcastle though, its sell now deal with the replacement later with these clowns. Sickening.

Wasn't it selling Torres that gave Liverpool the money to go out and get Suarez and Carroll?

Anyway, it's pretty much a pointless argument, as if it matters which one actually happens first.

If Pardew thinks LB is a priority now that Enrique is going, then I think it does matter. Why are they leaving that position weak when they could get a replacement in before selling? If its a squad player then by all means just sell, but if its a player whos departure will leave us considerably weak in his position then we should be holding on to him until we get a replacement. The move wont happen unless Newcastle give the go ahead, I just think we should be keeping ourselves right.

Liverpool fans asking journos on twitter about Enrique and getting all defensive and producing stats because they are saying his positioning isn't the best.

Wonder if he will settle in straight away or take a while like he did with us.

Liverpools best signing of the summer by far. Don't fault anyone at the club, it was inevitable after Caroll was sold that he would move on either this year or next.

More like when Hughton was sacked, although Carroll was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Fair enough, let's hope that the deals are basically happening simultaneously and Peters/whoever arrives ASAP.

More like when he realised he was class and other clubs would want to sign him and give him a pay rise.

Daft to think Liverpool are guaranteed to get Champions League football next year.

They are certainly moving in the right direction....

At least their owners are showing ambition
