  1. Past hour
  2. This is exactly the issue - who's picking the targets? Who's negotiating the deals? Is Mitchell's list the same as Howe's? Who's speaking to agents? They've had fucking months to prepare for this summer and nothing has happened at all. Eddie Howe is a brilliant football manager and he's more than done his bit over the last 10 months, expecting him to be on the phone tying up deals when he's on his holidays is ridiculous, there has to be a system in place where other people step up and execute basic transfer/scouting shit? Putting all of this on Howe isn't fair imo, he has to take a step back and ask others to step in and help out a bit. Surely?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Was referring to buying players from the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal. As oppose to them thinking they could buy ours. That was the context.

    U23s & Academy

It’s all going swimmingly this summer.

    U23s & Academy

Tweeting about the transfers of 14 year olds is never not weird.
  6. They've got 5-6 for each position already, ridiculous
  7. Kudus is definitely on our list like. Don’t know how close to the top though.
  8. History and common sense tells us that Eddie signs plenty of players from abroad, without PL experience.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

It's just my personal preference. If we went down that road and the new players didn't set the world alight I honestly couldn't care less if some numpties on here got mad about it a year down the line. The club have proved capable of picking up great players that would cost 2x and maybe even more if they were already playing the PL. Have some faith, grow some balls and lets go for it! Mbuemo & Pedro are functional players but boring as fuck.
  10. Isn’t is all just a natural part of the process? I don’t think anyone’s “being let down” or “doing a bad job” really… it’s just the nature of the transfer market at the moment and the fact that we’re trying to be competitive for players we really want, but due to PSR predominantly, we’re struggling to compete on wages when one of the traditional big boys get involved. I’m sure we will sign players, but to me it’s pretty clear we’re working through our list in ambition order (i.e. trying to get the ones we’ll have big competition for first). Not the time to panic or point fingers, yet. Maybe in a month.
  11. I ask you again: Who are these proven strikers we should be after, given our current squad, it's flaws and PSR situation? I am happy with 3-4 names
  12. Got to have three/four players for every position..
  13. Bit early for this kind of chat isn't it?
  14. DCL I'm actually embarrassed for you that you think he would be an option. You keep telling yourself though
  15. It's not that surprising really. The cartel clubs are practically the PL authorities paymasters.
  16. Do they really need a 4th player capable playing as a striker? Its mental, Im so freaking tired of watching Chelsea on every god damn transfer rumour.
  17. Before you get too excited:
  18. Where about to find out how flexible Eddie is prepared to be in the transfer market, if he handcuffs the club to targets with PL experience then we’ll be looking at 3 signings tops as we just don’t have the budget.
  19. I fear we may just have too many cooks in the transfer committee. its been a while since I’ve seen the Amazon documentary but I seem to recall Staveley having to really work on Solis / PIF to get them to authorise the Gordon signing.
  20. Based on the fact Pedro would probably come in as a 10, then I can see us maybe moving on to Kudus who could also offer the same versatility with a preference for operating in the middle. Hope so tbh.
