We need top 6-ready players but the rest of the top 6 also want these players and can offer more money, while still having that bit more prestige than us at the moment. I think being players that have featured for long-term successful clubs like Liverpool also immediately inflates the price, even if the player isnt that great. Its like they get 10-20 mill more just for featuring for a top 6 side.
