a good seamstress would sort that easy

Watched the 96-97 season review last night, quite a few bad spells early in the season that would’ve had this place rife for a Keegan sacking. Also took Shearer longer than I remembered to score from open play that season & couple of longish term injuries waste of money etc etc.
-
Was class whenever Sir Les came back to SJP and he got a standing ovation and then got booed the first time he touched the ball
-
Have completely lost interest in internationals, honestly feels like there's a football match every week all year round now days. FIFA have turned footballers into absolute drones

Conceiçao v Cucurella is a cunt off for the ages
-
Uncanny timing
-
Portugal vs Spain just kicked off. Showing on ITV1.
-
I think wages, bonuses, etc are fine to be secret, transfer fees should 100% be open, though.
-
Portugal V Spain is on ITV

Looks like he’s about to charge someone three grand for a steak.

Looks like he's working undercover to bust a cartel in Miami

Be interesting to see how they approach it. Sticking exclusively with the ‘youngsters with potential’ route will almost certainly get them relegated unless they scout some real good ones (generational talents you might say…) from somewhere. So how far do they shift to more established players in an effort to keep themselves up?
-
He was pretty shit after he left anyway. 30+, injury prone, had one good season after he left and that was about 6 years later with Leicester getting relegated.
-
Different scenario as Cole was sold to upgrade to Ferdinand in the same position. Selling Barnes would be weakening our left side with either no replacement or a worse player.
-
Can they give us AG then.
-
After we'd fucked him about pretty extensively, aye.

In this day and age of financial transactions being scrutinised more than ever before why are clubs allowed to sign players for 'undisclosed fees'? How can clubs do that in 2025? What are they hiding and why shouldn't every single penny of the deal be made public? Talking about the overall fee, the agents cut, the signing on fee, and the basic wage structure of the player etc. Obviously the basic + bonus wage will change from month to month and that's a little more personal and private to the player but the huge sums of money exchanging hands when a big deal goes through should be made public and I can't understand why it doesn't happen given the limits of PSR these days
-
Have him as my AM for the Toon on FM. He's different class.
-
They've done well to get that much, IMO. Going to have to invest wisely, which is a big ask.
-
Deary me 😂 he is a great player when allowed to express himself. He seems to be out drinking more since his fall out with pep I'm sure he'd knuckledown with us and sees our professionalism in the ranks. Could give him a contract with incentives to make up for the lower basic wage.

Has everyone forgotten that these fuckers are experts in PL drain circling? Won't be in the least bit surprised if they surprise everyone, or the league has a one-off bizarre event where one or two of the regular midtable teams has a disaster season. Never rule out how spawny these cunts can be.
-
It's incredibly petty. They bought the guy for £3M and sold him for almost 8x that. We classed Minteh as a great bit of business, I doubt people were talking about Osula's fee when we sold Minteh ffs.
-
You're crackers. Wouldn't have Wharton either then aye?
