Riviere, Colback, Xisco, Gonzalez, Good, Kuqi etc.......they're Ashley signings. DCL, would miles ahead of them. Apart from the free transfer, he'd be nothing like an Ashley signing. Fit he's decent enough as part of a squad, but he's never fit though, so i would steer clear on that.

Erm, no. Last season was a very good one for Chelsea. Won a trophy and qualified for the CL which was their top priority. They achieved that, so it was a successful season for them. They're not in a position to challenge for the PL or the CL, and won't be for a few years yet, which they themselves realise. This is not the Chelsea of 5 or 10 years. For us, it was a great season because we won a trophy. Going only by the league form, it was a good season for us, not a great one. I must say, I do get tired of the inferiority complex on here, at times. I understand it, but you don't need to keep saying it out loud.
