    England

Imo not selecting Wharton and Tino made perfect sense and was the correct thing to do. There is a Under-21s Euros this summer, and Wharton, Tino, Anderson etc are going to be the leaders in that camp, in a tournament you'd expect them to get far in, and that experience is going to be invaluable long term, way more so than a friendly and a game against Andorra will ever be.
  5. We did try and sign Juma Bah in January but Man City beat us to the punch Who else do they have?
  6. Chelsea add Djordje Petrovic, Raheem Sterling, Joao Felix, and Axel Disaster to their refreshed Bomb Squad.
  7. Got to say I thought it was mental that it took so long for Tonali to go central. From day 1 at Ibrox Eddie had Longstaff as the #6 and Tonali at #8. It felt like his biggest blind spot tactically for a fella that makes very few mistakes. I get that Tonali has so much energy you intuitively perhaps want to use that box to box, and Bruno had been so good in terms of resisting the press from deep, but when you have such an expensive asset not clicking 100% it was insane not to try it for so long.
  8. Feel it's been a while since we've had a good German in the team, same with Portugal. Also not had a Turk since Emre. And have we ever had a decent Belgian? We tend to sign in groups/patterns, Coloccini and Gutierrez Argentinians, Cisse and Ba Senegal, the french lot under Pardew, Wijnaldum, De Jong and Williams, Spaniards under Benitez, now Bruno and Joelinton. As nothing is happening and the window is closed - which countries would you like to sign someone from?
  9. Nah that’s what I mean, it’s funny that every link is just to a really obvious name.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

    Kudus would be class imo
  11. Insane wages - I didn't even know Galatasaray could offer that type of package.
  12. Palace fans are correct about the weird transfers.
  13. I don't think there's any evidence for that. Not to 'say the line, N-O!' but the journos really do know next to nothing. It makes sense that the only crumbs they have are domestic ones. As far as I know we haven't peddled Steve Nickson so I don't see why we won't have targets on the continent too. We clearly have a desire to invest in dependable talent but I'd be delighted with another 2023 summer; where we sign three proven PL players and one Euro Sexgod. You can't fault the strategy at this point I don't think.
  14. I've had no faith in Tuchel. Weird squad selections, poor performances etc. Not enough is being made out of selecting Kyle Walker and Henderson over the likes of Wharton and Tino. Jude Bellingham has fucking 40 caps and won a league title and CL. Declan Rice has as many caps as Paul Scholes managed. We don't need experienced heads for the sake of it.
  15. It’s all a smokescreen guys
  16. Aye, Tonali going central changed the trajectory of the season. Even last year before his ban, he never really looked like a good fit aside from Villa at home on the first game.
  17. That’s lovely. Think it’ll be my kit purchase this season plus an item or two from the Originals clobber. @Shadow Puppets Any tit-bits you can give us on what we can expect from the Originals range?
  18. Unhinged them lot mind
  19. I really can't believe that our transfer targets are just all star players from other PL clubs. Makes no sense

    Marc Guehi

I've never been convinced Guehi wants to come to Newcastle. I feel he's wanting a Munich, Madrid, Barca move next season as a free agent. Just my gut feel.
