Newcastle United vs. Chelsea: 11/05/25 @ 12:00 (TNT Sports)

I've done the maths. Thanks to the liverpool we need to either win or draw this game. Chelsea cannot win this match and if they do we will have to make sure the goal difference isnt bad. As they will beat Manchester United and go into the final match with nothing to play for before doing into the conference league final. The problem with this is that if forest win they will go above us and get ucl. With 70 points. It will be down to GD. This outcome have us winning arsenal away from home and Everton but I can't see us getting that many goals if we do. -
Burn said in his post match interview that the tactic wasn't to press Brighton as much as we usually do
-
His decline in form can be traced back to Gordon coming out of the starting Xl. He’s still had some moments since then as world class players do, but he’s looked subdued and starved of service. We’re not playing on the transitions effectively enough which is where he’s so dangerous.
-
Howe got asked specifically about Isak’s form in the press conference and he said we were finding it hard to get bring him into games (as in pass to him, creating chances etc) and mentioned he’d only returned to full training this week after a few minor injuries. I’m guessing another part of the answer is he needs a rest but we haven’t got anyone who is even close to him so Howe can’t say that out loud. This is what the “Delap won’t even play!” lot need to remember. It’s very different times but we already had Ferdinand and Asprilla when we signed Shearer.

Well being minus 10 points at the start of the season by keeping him would have been worse I guess. -

Especially as Liverpool gifted them the win

Shocking defending from Tino and Tonali for his goal. -

So Kane finally wins something and he’s not even in the stadium to celebrate.
-
Was like this when they beat Everton 1-0 as well, bizarre.
-
It's in the buy back clause, nee celebrations v us
-
Not even Morrisons in Byker is a bearpit of hate at midday on a Sunday
-
Have Chelsea won the league? Absolutely ridiculous this coverage.
-
I thought this too. He didn’t celebrate in the FA cup game and started off not celebrating here
-
I'll be at work when this is on. Might quit my job!

Pawson was dreadful yet again today. Zero consistency from one minute to the next, flat out ignoring the Wieffer second yellow as he didn't have the bottle, flat out ignoring the Burn yellow (it was) as it was too early and if he'd booked him early then he'd have to book more for the rest of the game. His fundamental lack of courage caused him more issues later on in the game, quite happy to ignore bad tackles but he's also sensitive enough to book Welbeck for questioning his utter bullshit He gets a pass on the 2 overturned pens though, both looked pens in real time but neither actually were. One was a few inches wrong and one was a pitiful and embarrassing dive

Not too bad that Forest and Chelsea play on the last day tbh. Unless a draw is enough for both

Is that right, I've just never known that. Obvs, they usually do Saturday at 12:00 since the BT Sport days. -

I'm guessing they don't have an early KO on the Saturday. They get one game a weekend, basically. -
If we can strap Joelinton up for one game…

The point for us today was massive, just staying ahead of Chelsea, even if on GD was significant If Palace grab a result tomorrow then with 3 games to go for all teams we'll be looking decent -
Far more angry about that than I probably should be but it's just indicative of how the revenue 6 always seem to have things fall their way in some form. Confirmation bias blah blah blah. Fuck them all.
