Presume that's to ensure they can compete in the Europa? Poor old Forest foiled again.

Brentford set-piece coach Keith Andrews is frontrunner for the vacant manager's job at Gtech Community Stadium. BBC Sport understands the club are not putting a timescale on the appointment, and discussions are progressing well. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3w48p7n014o

Textor has sold his Palace shares to Trumps former ambassador to the UK, the objectively hilariously named Woody Johnson. NFL fans don’t have much nice to say about him but I guess Parish and co aren’t relinquishing him full control.

A chance to use Micky Todger as a slander name so I’m all for it.

Are future add-ons factored in when it comes to amortizing transfer fees (eg a few deals having 10-15m in achievable add-ons but likely deferring the payment to another future period)? If so, it might be achievable without significant sales, maybe? Quick maffs suggests we’re looking at a 120m ish transfer kitty, maybe up to 150m/160m if we’re wanting to be bold. How accurate is that in your (and other psr wizards on here) opinion?

If this is the start of 4/5 immediate first team signings, then consider my socks blown clean off.
-
Excellent. I think the bit bolded is definitely a strategy of ours.

Would have a hard job resisting the temptation to douse him in warm liquid if I ever saw him public, the bald cunt.

I did chuckle when the fixtures came out, and a not insignificant number on RTG believed the majority of the first dozen opponents don't really amount to much. Basically it's just your Villa's, Arse's, Chelsea's that will trouble them

If the Kaka TCD combo was washed ashore on some remote island I sometimes wonder where all animals and palm trees would go..

We can't go into the CL relying on Willock or Miley to play anything more than cameos...

Don't worry, mate, the ice cream van will be back blasting its music at about 10pm, like it does round ours. Hope you find the bairn.
-
Yeah I’d agree with that I think. Frustrating for fans but a good thing really.

It’s not the update either you or I wanted but sadly things have not worked out as well as I’d hoped. Received a phone call from the school and my daughter’s been expelled. I’ve also been informed that a letter is going out to my employer requesting that I’m relieved of my position immediately. The headteacher also spat out the following “I hope you don’t sign anyone this window and that Big Dan Burn gets shin splints”. Not going to mince my words, this has hit me pretty hard. Was going to take my daughter out for an ice cream to apologise but she’s just kicked a football through the window and jumped out onto the street so I’m off out to find her

This was eleven years ago Not sure why ESPN reckon it was last week Edit: oh it’s also an old article https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2847754/amp/Ex-Newcastle-flop-Daniel-Cordone-impersonates-Claudio-Caniggia-Argentina-Masters-friendly-against-Brazil.html

Business as usual. Nothing whilst covering all bases so he can pivot either way depending on how the situation unfolds, so he can make it seem like he knew all along.

Think we’re the biggest club to have the most unreliable, uninformed press pack regarding transfers. Every other similar sized club or bigger, seem to have at least one reliable correspondent.
-
Some horribly sad news today. Curtis Coppen RIP. North Shields legend.
-
There's a thread on RTG ranking the biggest clubs in England. I won't put a link up, but they really are fucking stupid cunts. They genuinely think they're some kind of juggernaut of a football club. I'd give them some respect if they put their litter in the bin, the scruffy fucks

Isak only scored 6 in 32 games for Sociedad the season before we bought him. I know it’s slightly different circumstances but it’s still a risky deal, we dropped £63m on him and that looks a bargain now. If we can get this guy for around 40m and are confident he can play a lot fo games, then it could be another great deal.
