  2. Spurs were much more in it in the 1st half. After they scored, in the most un-Spursy way ever they successfully shut up shop. ManU didn't have the cutting edge to score. I do honestly believe if Spurs needed a goal they would have got forward a lot more and do I think they'd have caused ManU problems if they had needed to.
  3. Roids

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Barnes needs to stay, the other 4 would be great to off the books (personally have no issue with Pope as thestarting keeper, and Bruno at that price w his age is a no brainer in the FFP era)
  4. An away kit already? Utter woke nonsense.
  5. I can't see them sacking Ange now. Levy has zero ambition and he'll be in dreamland with the CL money coming in. he won't want to spend any of it on compo. not that Spurs will ever really be a threat, but it's a good outcome for us.
  6. What's with the lighter colour? The deep red is the Roma trademark.
  7. Many kits getting ruined with oversized Saudi sponsorship.
  8. Normally no, and ofc I don't know for sure, but they are allegedly buying a €40m player for €16m. The saudi club isn't agreeing to that out of the kindness of their hearts, so its most likely a reduced transfer fee to subsidise his wages.
  9. Don't think you can downplay any trophy! Look at us... id argue winning the Europa League is harder than a dominant Bayern team in the Bundesliga.. last year was an anomaly!
  10. Leeds after three of ours, Pope,Longstaff, Wilson, While rumour Villa after Barnes in Swap with Ramsey. Al-Itihad wish to sign Bruno 120m
  11. Sima

I just wish for Ashley to take them over. They all seem to think he is a great businessman and his treatment and the hands of us was unfair so let's have it.
  12. Think it was the Targett one that made it look bollocks, mind. Think it's accurate for US sports where these sorts of things are in the public domain but for football it's basically relying on newspaper sources.
  13. Yeah, that was pretty much the perfect result for me. I always felt a win and Champions League was more important to Man U, that plus my longstanding dislike for the club meant wanting a Spurs win was the obvious choice. But to win (or lose) in such disgraceful fashion really was the cherry on top. Spurs' only shot "on target" was dogshit control, a lucky deflection and maybe the faintest of trickles with the studs. They had no control of the game at all. Man U had all the ball but seeing them trying to score was like watching someone try to play snooker with cooked spaghetti.
  14. You were so fast, I edited it right after.
  15. Can't imagine a club like Porto paying mega wages?
  16. Ain't no way a player that cost £64-75m is on anything less than £100k a week, especially for a club like man utf. I don't care even if Højlund posts a screenshot of his taxes or pay slip that contradicts it.
  17. They purposely sat in a low block and looked to counter, because they knew you'd never manage to open them up that way. Particularly because they had three physical central midfielders playing, as Maddison and Kulusevski were out. All you did was pass the ball around in front of them, which ultimately meant nothing, and so that possession was meaningless. Ange did the smart thing really, because your lot are awful going forward. He didn't make it easier for you by pressing high and leaving gaps in behind that you could possibly exploit.
  18. Administration, and folding as a club. If I was a billionaire I'd buy them and do exactly that. Long and slow.
  19. EDIT: Never mind. Wrong convo
  20. I can't imagine Ashworth doing as bad a job as Amorim. Dan must feel hard done by.
  21. I'm not going to cape for the guy but I can only assume he is/was taking the long-view, even if the current crop can't deliver it. He poured everything into the Europa, knowing he couldn't compete domestically. And in parts, they played okay (relative to their capability) through the competition from what I saw. Even yesterday, as poor as they were, a draw wouldn't have been an unfair result I thought. If the spine of his long-term vision was intended to change this summer, I think maybe he thought there was limited value to gutting it out in the PL week-in week-out - while safe from relegation. What's the difference between 11th and 17th for them, really? Now I don't agree with that view, and I think culture change is important and needs to start somewhere. He's definitely not above criticism, and he seems to be getting a fair bit. Some he deserves IMO. I felt like he began to "get it" towards the end of the season, but maybe too late. Anyway, he doesn't seem unlikable to me (yet!) and they hired him for a reason. Reckon they will give him at least a window or two to put his stamp on the club.
  22. Money doesn't buy success as Man Utd have proven 100%. From a personal view their demise is glorious to see having suffered years of gloating by their glory hunting fans.
