  2. Him and Hall were a bargain and are a position we do not need to worry for the next 10 years. Lord knows how much a good full back will cost then.
  3. Not really a conspiracy to suggest he might be playing through an injury. When he has done numerous times since arriving here and has had groin and knee/hip (I think) troubles that have seem him miss games. It’s quite easy if you watch him in games. To see that acceleration isn’t there, he is fairly immobile by his standards. He’s usually razor sharp with his reactions and on the ball. But you’re not seeing any of that. He often seems on his heels. Strikers go through barren spells and bad runs of form. But it’s not about the lack of goals or the snatching at chances for me. It’s because he clearly doesn’t look fit.

  5. He can have the Everton game off, after his hattrick against Arsenal on Sunday.
  6. Got some huge nostalgia pangs for the blue swirly 93-95 away top this morning. An original is unlikely given the price. Anyone got any good DaveyGate links for one, or a ScoreDraw/iron on badge job?
  7. Hope so, I want the likes of Tino here for at least the next 6/7 years
  8. Fair enough. You watch every game, I don’t. Your midfield has always looked dreadful and very open whenever I have seen you though.
  9. If we get 3 points at Arsenal, That's us over the line. Villa have an impossible GD mountain to climb.
  10. Hasn't it already been reported from the Man City end that the Flamengo right back and Cambiasso are their preferred choices?

I think it's pretty obvious he has some sort of injury . He has been poor for a while now and he's simply too good to be playing this badly without being injured .
  12. They were 4/1 before they beat Bournemouth. Always looked long, even if it us unlikely they catch us, Chelsea and Forest look vulnerable. They're a bit cursed at Old Trafford, but should win.
  13. Man City wanting Tino should tell you everything They think he's good enough / talented enough to win those big CL games and PL titles they will be fighting for. Amazing scouting from us again
  14. Our midfield was wide open under Ten Hag. That's not the case at all under Amorim. The wing backs have been a glaring weakness though. Obviously been some games where we've been poor as well and completely lost the midfield battle, but Bruno Fernandes having the third highest ball recoveries in the league isn't a stat to be sniffed at. It's pretty incredible really. Correct. An awful season.
  15. Yorkie

His face on the match cam after Bruno skies one.
  16. Yep, I always try to avoid any decency bias with these things and felt like they were a one man band from the start of the season for a few months.
  17. Bruno F is a wonderful player. However, if Man U's talismanic captain midfielder can still get in a PL team of the year, in a season where they are 16th with 2 games to go, and on a points total low enough for relegation, then it really does hit home how truly dogshit the rest of the team must have been.

It was more the standing and walking around like he didn't give a shit at various points in the match when he should've been doing other things etc. Strictly speaking I had him down as our worst performer. But I really don't believe in the slightest that was down to a lack of effort, though. Having a bad touch, yeah fair enough that happens.
  19. Today
  20. He was in TOTS in 20-21 wasn't he? Looking at some of the other brilliant players who've been in it over the years, being in it more than once is rarer than you'd think. Aguero, Kane, Terry, Cole, and Lampard were only in it twice.
  21. You can’t really argue with his attacking output. I’m not having the ball recoveries one as a useful metric here, mind. Man U’s midfield is wide open and they get played through at will. Of course he’s going to get no end of opportunities to recover the ball. It’s a bit like the duels one for our Bruno. He is so slow and almost actively wants to get in a duel every time he has the ball. It’s his way of beating players, it seems
  22. I absolutely do not want to sell him. As a one on one defender. There aren’t many better in the league. But I’m hoping next season when he moves back to RB. He can be just as effective as he has been playing at LB. He wasn’t playing particularly well at RB earlier in the season. Certainly not going forward. I hope Howe and co can get some confidence into him so he might attempt a shot or a killer pass a bit more often. He gets in great positions over and over. But always seems reluctant to pull the trigger. The only goal he has scored came from him basically running it into the net
  23. Was only a kid at the time but Sheffield United v Coventry City has proper 1992-4 Sky Monday Night Football vibes.
  24. No I havent been watching him like a hawk, I have watched a couple of Man United games though. And in everyone of them your team got ran all over in the midfield.
