THE TIMES The Chelsea chairman and co-owner Todd Boehly has warned that the football calendar is too congested and feels that his players are facing too many games. Anyone fancy their space in the £1 Billion club world cup ?
-
Do they though? And how can you not? The moments they produce when they grace our pitch, when they enhance our lives. The memories and heart felt connection they make. Weaved in throughout our own personal life are the players who we identify with, feel for, who represent something great and meaningful to us. Off the top of my head, for me David McCreery, Glenn Roeder, Kevin Keegan, Mirandinha, Peter Beardsley, Lee Clark, Steve Watson, Les Ferdinand, David Ginola, Nolberto Solano, many more in the past and into our current era. They have all left something indelible with me and with thousands more. Bruno Guimarães is one of those players; someone who never goes even when they are long gone.
-
I would characterize Bruno as untouchable as well.
-
Fucking hell, man. That should have come with a warning.
-
Probably shite, but it was rumored he could have a *thigh strain* that rules him out and allows him to attend Makemfest in that there London.
-
He's retiring here like. Guy's been nothing but confident and positive ever since he moved here - took a punt on us whilst we was fighting relegation, and he'll still be our captain when we challenge for the league.
-
Can you love a player more than Bruno? He totally gets the club and wears it on his sleeve. Would it be disrespectful to say he gets in the all time greatest XI already? I'm 37 for reference. I love it the most when he wins the ball back in a dangerous position, realises there is no where to go so shields the ball like his life depends on it. Then wins the foul and fist pumps to the crowd. What a guy!

Top no.9 when fit, he’s absolutely in the argument for me when it comes to the third position on the podium for best NUFC centre forward in my lifetime But the injuries and age have taken their toll, and it’s time to wave goodbye. I hope that we are 5-0 up with ten mins to go vs Everton and he gets a send-off. Onwards and upwards, hopefully we get an upgrade in the summer (though not in the looks department - our squad is about 20% less handsome automatically)
-
I’m getting more and more confident by the day! The atmosphere will be bouncing with a 4pm bank holiday Sunday kick-off and Pickford always increases the noise (hatred!) levels! INTO THEM!

Just chatting about it there, would much rather be playing Everton at home with our fate in our own hands than being looking to beat either Man Utd or Forest away from home -
Just worked out that Everton have absolutely nothing to play for. Win or lose they can't move position or be overtook. Hopefully they are already on the beach.

I think the owners are totally committed to the lasses team and like the men's team, they want to see them competing at the top end of all competitions. I did wonder when Staveley left, if the same commitment would be shown, but this is certainly not the case thankfully. The latest news that a new Director of Women's Football is being appointed, backs this up also. I think we will see a big upgrade in the level of player being signed this summer. Last season, the signings were of mainly mid table championship level and we needed more players of a higher level. As above I expect this to change this summer. As I've said a few times before I am not convinced if the current manager is at the level we require, but I certainly hope she proves me wrong this season coming.
-
I suppose not every team can invest in the lasses like Newcastle are. Man U from what Ratcliff said seems to care not at all about them. Be upfront well before you drop a bomb if you feel they can't be funded. Seems like a longer term vision would be to support the lasses and what the competition can become and already is compared to the past.

Appears to be selected for Sky unless any last minute curve ball from Sky to show Liverpool's game for no reason. Forest vs Chelsea Sky (confirmed) Fulham vs City / Liverpool vs Palace (Jamie Carragher's title celebration wankfest, TAA farewell/ Community Shield dress rehearsal or whatever SKy's justification isnto show the scoursers) Newcastle vs Everton Sky Man Utd Vs Villa TNT Sports

Wow, that is so fucked up.
-
Except if Chelsea finish 7th and beat Betis. But yeah, it's wild how many points 7th will get this season.
-
Delap is guaranteed to be another one of many moronic players that signs for Man Utd thinking that they'll be there at ground zero in the latest Man Utd revival. What a tube.

Brilliant video that. Hope he is here for many more years.

I’m starting to get the feeling that there could be some big changes in the squad this summer ahead of a big revamp. Still effective mostly but with the top sides we’re a bit predictable at times. Isak and Tonali are really the only players who are untouchable. Maybe Tino and Hall in terms of potential. But with question marks over Botman long term and a long term goalkeeper, the future spine of the team is only 50% nailed down.
