The worst thing about last night is that Howe is now a step closer to taking over
-
Yesterday, whilst amusing myself reading an article about Sunderland having 2 of the lowest points totals out of the worst 6 in Premier League history, I also learned that the two teams who have the joint record for most own goals scored in a top flight game are Sunderland 2003 and Sunderland 2014 A 3-1 home defeat against Charlton where the makems scored all 4 goals And the 8-0 defeat at Southampton where they put 3 past their own keeper Bewtifil

He knows rightly how much those comments would annoy Newcastle fans. He's a prick.

These things always attract the same type.

I keep getting Sesko and Wirtz mixed up. So out of touch these days.
-
Imagine if they make their money back on that donkey. Absolutely sickening.
-
Can’t see what the upside is to spending that on Wirtz? Very good player in Bundesliga, but not a generational talent IMO, especially at prices and wages that comfortably signs two good players. Musiala was available for less last summer.
-
Tuchel turning out to be a bad fit. we should cut him loose and hire Ange
-
And we all kept pointing out how we were much better with Tonali in the side. Trafford has to start number 1. I maintain you can’t bring in a GK for £30m, a position you can’t bring them on with 20 to go, and them just warm the bench. Especially one on the back of an absolute high of a season and full of confidence. People will say Howe gets things correct, but he does get things wrong and not starting Trafford would be one.
-
I think Howe treats each signing differently based on certain factors. He must have seen something that made him think Tonali would be ready for the league right from the start. He does have a high bar when it comes to it though, more often than not players have to wait.

James Trafford: NUFC in talks with Burnley over £30m transfer (SkySports)

Botman got in when Targett got injured pretty early on and Burn moved to LB. -
Of course he is, the moral leaders in the Liver tower are doing the right thing in keeping football just! They loathe the modern game and the inflated fees and wages paid and expressly do not participate in such activities. They back every man who pulls on the red shirt, no ifs but or maybes! All hail the the world's most righteous and just team.

Ornstein reckons Nunez could be off to Saudi. That would heavily offset what they’re paying for Wirtz

There are references to Newcastle literally all the way through it barely a verse that doesn't reference exactly where it's about Scotswood Road Balmbra's Collingwood Street Blaydon Armstrong's Factory The Robin Adair The Chain Bridge Blaydon Mechanics' Hall
-
They really haven't spent that much last 4-5 years to be honest. They always seem to get insane money for their backup players too.
-
Szobo on the bench? I'd be more afraid of Liverpool if they were looking to strengthen defensively. Its all change for them with a new keeper, a midfielder replacing Trent, and Kerkez coming in, but little talk of whether their new outfield players can actually defend. The time bomb of replacing VVD is also still to come. They were hopeless at defending corners in the Carabao final and made it easy for us.

I sold an old jacket on eBay and made a profit. I just need to get my consistency up to get to Primark's level.

According to Stefan Borson yesterday, Chelsea sold their team for that amount due to their potential come 2050. He reckoned a few will go down the same road, with 100 million plus amounts, now that the 20 clubs voted to stop the Premier League closing this loophole. He also reckons Villa will do this in the next few days to overcome their PSR issues.
-
That depends. Our revenue are growing so his cost as a % of our revenue is decreasing as well. Also the longer keep hold of him the lower the loss we actually take on him is. If we want him off the books, the best time to do it is when we have additional head room to spend so probably not this FY.
-
Another thick fucker. Scotswood Road is in Newcastle, honestly man , the fuckers were crying their eyes out when the Durham cricket team started using it.
-
Maybe I'm mistaken about how it all works but surely in that scenario getting £10m (and taking the £6m PSR loss) is better than him staying for the next 4 years doing nowt?
-
The only hope with Vlach is that we could get a non-loss Saudi fee based on his appearances for Greece. He played 10 90s for them in 2024. Otherwise its pass the PSR parcel if another team is as desperate as we were last summer.

Was just telling my wife about that lol. Fucking like for like sub of the left back on 62 minutes every single game. I'm convinced he was just trying to look like he's doing his job but had no idea what else to do.
