  2. https://metro.co.uk/2024/04/02/southampton-furious-man-utd-block-jason-wilcox-move-2025-20571526/ - Doesn't sound as if the Wilcox move was conducted particularly amicably.
  3. Relieved to see Liverpool appoint Slot, as hopefully that should bring a slide down the table for a few years.
  4. Whats sticking out of the bag? part of a tennis racquets packaging or something? He'll be spotted playing tennis in Elswick park or somewhere next

Yeah pretty sure it’s been mentioned he’s done/doing his badges.
  8. Football fans always talk about players being irreplaceable. It's the strangest thing. Particularly because a lot of times the player in question wasn't even seen that way initially. Bruno cost £30 million and we had no idea he would be this. There's no telling who comes in next and what direction the team goes in.

  10. I'd be shocked if half the squad didn't read the forum. Some on here when that's suggested act like this is some kind of hidden darkweb site that is almost inaccessible rather than being an incredibly popular fan site that's been going for donkeys years. Couple that with players being young, tech-savvy and with lots of free time, of course they're going to be reading it. Be astonished to find otherwise.
  11. Would like to see a back four of: Hall-Burn-Schar-Tino
  12. I’m not worried, I’d rather he stayed but the silver lining is that we know way more than his fee would be reinvested in the playing squad. You can’t just replace him like for like though.. impossible.
  13. Luke Edwards reported it. Every other article I've read has qualified it with "according to the Daily Telegraph" until today when Louise Taylor is reporting it as fact. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/apr/26/eddie-howe-optimistic-guimaraes-will-stay-at-newcastle-this-summer
  14. Has he bought a house recently? Was it confirmed?
  15. Why have we not demanded £20 million from Man Utd for Ashworth? Staveley out.
  16. And you really can't help but wonder what @Froggy had to say about the Lingard carry on at the time ...
  17. Nope, the appeal would be to an appeal panel as set out in the PL's rules. Man City went to the High Court in 2021 to challenge the PL's juristiction to force them to formally disclose documents, and lost. The documents the PL wanted access to were probably documents that the PL already knew existed through the leaked emails, like this one: Most of us are expecting we're going to try to do the same kind of thing, but won't be daft enough to put it in emails and allow them to be hacked. If we were caught red handed I think most would say "fair cop" rather than blindly claiming our club is innocent, I certainly would.

Is he basically just a GK coach at this point?
  19. Haven't checked on Carragher, but I have now looked through different articles on Simon Jordan comments regarding the case. As I said he is criticising how they are handling the investigation etc., and saying that if you are innocent then it should be easy for you to prove it. Which is true. Not a single time does he seem to say that they ARE guilty. He has however said that IF they are guilty, they should be punished very hard. But that's not saying that they are. I'm not a fan of Simon Jordan, but lets not put words into his mouth. Or maybe you could show me an example?
  20. Nowt against any of those really. Leeds the one I dislike the most but feel they'll add most to the Premier League and is as close as we'll get to a derby/short trip. Always had a bit of a soft spot for both WBA and to a lesser extent Norwich. Nowt against Southampton but a long trip. Hull also a short trip, but feel they'll be whipping boys and unlikely to make it anyway. In summary, WBA, Norwich, Leeds in that order for me.
  21. I can still see Leeds finishing top 2. Stuck a few quid on them at 3/1. Ipswich's next 2 matches look tough on paper (although Coventry's season will probably be over by the time they play) and they need more than 1 point from them to have it in their hands going into the final day, but I'm not sure they will get them.
  22. Yeah Simon Jordan and Carragher have been very aggressive about it. Remember Carragher saying something on sky or that American sports channel that he works on and it was very blatant. Usually I couldn't really care less but that made me think wow you shouldn't be saying stuff like that.
  23. Hmm haven't heard anyone say that personally. I think the criticism from for example talksport was about things like Man City doing everything they can to slow down and almost sabotage the investigation. Which obviously is highly suspicious, considering that someone who is innocent would usually not want to do these thing, and rather just prove their innocence and get it over with. But again I can't remember hearing them say that they are guilty for certain.
  24. I honestly think it's all to do with that Lingard loan deal. We were absolutely desperate for a player like him then and we got laughed at and told to hand over a shit load of over valued money or fuck off. There's no chance we were going to happily play ball when you came knocking
  25. Akin to John Mcnamee not very refined but clogged many a centre forward....Sunderland had some good players back then ... Jimmy Monty being my favourite....RIP Charlie...
  26. They'll not be allowed to compete and will be forced to make up the numbers unfortunately whatever will they have. A tragedy really.
