NUFC media bans - Telegraph now banned from club
Colos Short and Curlies replied to Anderson's topic in Football
Feel like something else needs to happen this weekend or there is a risk of each 'story' just becoming a bland rhetoric of what has gone wrong rather than looking deeper into issues. Yes we know Wise/Kinnear/The Ebay type sale attempt were just plain awful, but its not saying anything new to heap pressure on MA and AP. Hopefully the crowd turn today. -

2009 the last time we were officially for sale? Economy is in a different place now, more likely to get a buyer now than then I reckon -

What? Of course you can. What you don't do is make a challenge from behind/pull him back. Tiote takes blame for the chance and clear-cut opportunity. MYM takes blame for getting himself sent off, getting a suspension and giving away a clear cut goalscoring opportunity anyway. I know its in the rules, but its a massive contradiction when you get sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity when the outcome is then a free shot a goal from 12 yards out - which in this case was actually a clearer chance than Suarez had. Whole double punishment is something that FIFA/UEFA/FA need to look at imo. A penalty/yellow card would have been right -
Everyone looks comfortable playing next to Big Willo. This is true

Best full back performance I can remember seeing for us for a good while.

Everton vs Newcastle United - 30/09/13 @ 8pm (Sky Sports 1)

f*** 'em. I've had to endure David Weir, Tony Hibbert, Kevin Campbell, Peter Reid etc etc etc. Time we got some payback. U Apart from Peter Reid you seem to have picked out a collection of the most innocuous Everton players of recent times Any particular reason to dislike them? Someone like Cahill or Fellaini I could understand. Around the turn of century Campbell had a knack of scoring against us. Reason enough to go on the hit list -
Would people prefer for the emporium of tat to pay us (lets make up a figure...) £2m a year for advertising and the FMA to charge us say (again lets make up a figure) £2m interest on the loans he has so kindly provided us? (That's roughly 2% on £120m of loans so a pretty good deal for the paying party) That is the alternative - I've no doubts that the fat man wins by not charging for either somehow with the tax bods but that fact doesn't impact us as fans. And before the 'but its his fault he has had to put the loans in' replies come in - the same could be said of all owner cash injections, and the vast majority of owners will charge interest back on them.

Bramble is the worse ever player to play in the BPL. Even Woodgate couldn't help him. He probably doesn't even make the top 5 worst defenders to have played for us im the premier league
-
Surely Harem could play that role?

IF (deliberately in caps) he was looking to sell in the foreseeable future then it will happen this week (and with very little warning( Give new owners one week to buy one statement of intent player. Imo, any Cabaye sale immediately rules out a sale now, no perspective buyer would be happy with the decision to sell one of our main players as they are coming in.

Although to be fair to the little guy, much better, taller, more physical midfields will struggle to deal with Man City's midfield this year. Physically they will bully (in the nicest possible sense) most people. I know we played like 2 week old limp lettuce, but I was seriously impressed with Man City's physicality last night.

He's really not what they need -
Sports Direct's 'payment' for the sponsorship is MA not charging interest on his loan, and until recently in lieu of us repaying the loan.

English/British talent we should be recruiting
Colos Short and Curlies replied to TRon's topic in Football
Anyone of equal ability to who we are scouting from abroad available for the same/less money. Don't agree with paying a premium for nationality and if we want players with more of an attachment to the club we either go back to a time where football was more than just a highly paid job, or invest in the academy to bring players through. A young player bought from London will have no more affinity to the club than one bought from Paris. -

Man U to finish 5th. Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Spurs top 4 - in that order. We finish 7th behind Liverpool but actually get to a cup final (and lose)
