  1. Respectfully disagree I love we tried to get through, it’s the sort of mentality that we need if we’re going to have success going forward. In situations like that, play to win. You are always a funny draw away from a deep run, all it takes is a few favourites not to win their group - just look at the two halves of the CL knockout draw last season.
  2. You have to factor in that half our team will be making up our bench tonight
  3. Inter finishing second, is gonna be a tough game for someone
  4. Some of the close control from the Bayern players has been something else. Coman, Davies, Musiala and Sane especially.
  5. Wonder how many injuries caused by that silly run off on the OT pitch
  6. Just compared Bayern fixtures from this game day to mid Jan to us and Man United. Fucking hell we don’t half run our teams into the ground over Christmas.
  7. Bayern full strength. Will want to put the weekends embarrassment to bed asap.
  8. Partizan drew peak era Galactico Madrid after knocking us out didn’t they?
  9. nah he’s mint, Brassell said the other week he’s been immense all season for them
  10. Are they trying to protect Hojlund somewhat? Feels like this move came a few years before it should have. The absolute Fomo from these ‘elite’ clubs who are in constant existential crisis seems to be leading them to bring in players before they’ve had time to fully mature and adapt. If they get it wrong with him you could see his career arc being similar to Martial. Think Enzo at Chelsea is similar, should have done a season or more at Benfica and left then for a decent wedge l. Now he’s in the prem a little too early with a pretty ridiculous price tag. Bellingham went for similar money and is slightly younger but you could argue he’s already served his football apprenticeship at Dortmund.
  11. Juve have surely learnt their lesson on transfers like that
  12. Thiaw, Kalulu and Kjaer all out injured for this so like PSG they will likely have to play a Hernandez brother at CB. His marauding runs at full back can be very threatening so hopefully that neutralises him a bit. Leao has been passed fit for this game but how fit he actually is remains to be seen, I think Livramento just needs to be his shadow and not give him much time on the ball. They’ve been in not great form with a lot of unrest around the club and speculation the manager could be gone. Almost a situation where both teams physically could probably benefit with going out but obviously neither of us will want to. Maldini has been in the press recently quite scathing of some of their new signings. If we have a few more bodies back for this game I think we have a great chance. Atmosphere needs to be white hot. Not optimistic for BVB helping us, they seem to be enduring a mini slump at completely the wrong time unfortunately.
  13. Nice of Vicario and Pickford to basically write our team talks for the return games, when we’ll likely be out of some competitions and not completely running on fumes.
  14. @Froggy do you think it’s been a mistake to let him sign so many of his ‘own’ players? Seems like that has led to a disunited dressing room. Was just thinking how many former players did Klopp or Pep sign any couldn’t really think of any.
  15. Yes, is in all the training videos yesterday. Think FPL making people unsure
  16. Man Untied have been the better team but Chelsea should have scored about 3 with better decision making.
  17. Always assumed he’d go to Brighton when De Zerbi eventually gets poached
  18. Worth pointing out that since we beat them the fixture list has been pretty kind to Arsenal, obviously you still need to win those games and they have done. Brentford probably their toughest game and that was a spawny last minute job too. Next three should establish their title credentials a little better. Villa, Brighton and Liverpool.
  19. Fabrizo loves nothing more than giving a big 6 team a reach around.
