Also surviving with a huge wage bill in the premiership is a bit different to surviving in the championship. Well if we're not sold by January I don't think it'll make a difference, we'll be fucked one way or another.

Say the worst happens and we don't get sold before the end of the transfer window, this will allow us to keep a competitive team, at least one capable of picking up enough wins to keep us in a promotion race until January, where hopefully by then we'll be sold, and can do what needs to be done to push on. This is a positive imo.

He'll be playing lesser teams, given that they're not in the Champions League. Just what he needs leading up to the World Cup. Even so that's still not a different challenge, just taking away a few teams he's playing now, he won't be playing against anyone he isn't already at Chelsea.

As things stand now, Ashley will keep the club and will run thsi club on the cheap. We'll sell our salable players to lower the wage bill and offset our massive income loss (Beye, Martins, Bassong, S Taylor, etc), have the Chuckle borthers or Kinnear as managers, have the lowest team morale in the league and be resting our hopes on our academy juniors and reserve team - who will lose the vast majority of the league games. Relegation is very a real possibility. Plus any new owners are going to want to plan their own transfer budget. Who cares?
