  1. I don't think he will get everyone he wants but having some coaching staff that do something to deserve their pay (something we aint had in a while) would be a welcome sight to me.
  2. totally agree with this he ha just become unsettled due to the team always changing, problems with the rat and then having clarkie and terry mac telling you what to do would certainly send me over the edge. Can see him staying and improving on this season, less games and a more consistant striking partner will only help him.

    Mido...

Nuff said really. The only player in the last 3 years that Spurs will make a significant loss on. Bought for £4m, will go for £1.5/2m maybe. for those sorts of prices thats the main reason why I can see him staying in the prem signing for a newly promoted team or one of the smaller clubs who think they can get him doing as well in his first two seasons
  4. Yup, made this point years ago about Gary Speed. He was our real leader on the pitch, letting him go was a big mistake. an for so cheap too will we never learn. I don't rate parker as captain material but I don't see any player any better that we have and would not like the thought of a new signing instantly been given the arm band. Solano would be the choice for me if I knew he would be around more than a season or two
  5. I said i rated him better than what we had and would take him as long as the price was right, but looking at last season his performances have not been good enough hence the reason he was dropped.
  6. But then we'd whine about it... be interesting to see who has had the harder run of games in the tornament and what sort of score lines there have been I just hope its in interesting game as the only positive thing i see in liverpool winning is the fact its an english club

baring in mind martins will disappear to the african nations this season we may rely on shola more than some would like Ameobi is still a better option than Mido. shola will always be a good back up and i recon he realises that, if we dont sign any strikers in the summer (can see us signing some unheard of 6ft 5 african player personally) I can see why people are intrested in mido I wouldn't go near him but can see him staying in the prem
  8. can understand why some think that the bigger posters are still offenders of shit posts but a rule like this would certainly cover any big talking points and new members starting wind up or "dig" threads.

  10. can he last playing 90 mins week in week out even in defence I doubt it, nobby only has maybe one or two seasons max before he really wants to go home to play so why not plan for the future and get a younger rightback. Solano?

    Mido...

The correct term is Spurs. My personnel opinion is that Mido is a very good 4th choice striker and i would like him to stay. "cast offs"? stop being so proud. If the player is capable then whats the problem with him not getting any games at another club, it shouldnt matter. you say spurs i say spuds you have just added to my point the point is a player who cant get a game at the other club is not a good signing (and im not meaning where there are 3/4 world class players per position i.e. chelsea) why would mido want to warm our bench any more than he is enjoying warming yours. We can all agree he is very capable at warming a seat on the bench even my arse can do that but why waste 3-4 million on a player when we already have expensive players clogging up the wage bill. No thanks you can keep him or portsmouth can have him

Just trying to ascertain who's telling the biggest lie tbh. I fail to see how i lied? Didn't say you did! I don't argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Were not really arguing tbh. Ive just given my opinion as to why i think Mido would probably be a good signing for your lot. If you want to disagree then its really up to you. how can someone who hasn't set the world alight at spuds be a good signing for us?? seen as we want to improve our side why take cast offs? (can see him signing a 3 year deal now)
  13. nope whats the matter with you like?
  14. can anyone honestly see this being a goal fest I can see it panning out as another 1 goal nicks it
  15. I would like Krul to start establishing himself within two-three seasons and dropping shay to back up

    Morgan buys Wolves

ya recon we could get a similar deal for shepherds shares? maybe sixty pies and a snickers bar for afters
  17. can i ask why we are sticking martins on the wing?

    Mido...

Sometimes I wonder if we are putting too much faith in SA and his abilities to managed difficult players. you honestly think anelka and diouf are less problems than mido??? dont think so I have alot of faith in his abilities.

    Mido...

I voted depends on length of contract as I would not like to see us tied to a 5 yr mega deal, all depends how much they want for him has been decent when I have seen him play definetly the "problem player" type that SA seems to like.

    Owen

a player is only worth what are club are willing to pay for him, at the time i dont think anyone would have complained about signing owen, i remember hearing stuff like " top drawer" "new shearer" "we lost out on rooney but got a gem in owen" and now two seasons down done nowt for us, hasnt been blasting them in when he has played and with the this speculation about his contract no wonder the lad ran off to ireland. If he does go i hope he goes for top wack like alot of the press has said i think for him to attract a better club than ourselves he needs to be on fire for england if it doesnt go well then we keep him and SA workis with him to get him back on form. Seen as their are strikers out there for the 10-15 million bracket i dont see it as being a big thing if he stays or goes except from apersonal point of view where there is something special about seeing owen score for us (maybe cause he scored so many against us) if he does stay just wait for the chants when he is stuffing scumderland back the championship
  21. SA's aim was to bring players in that are better than what we have and unfortunately this guy is better than anything we have. I reckon my nine year old bairn is better than most that we had at the back last year, and could definitley do a better job than either Babayaro or Carr. I just don't want people here because they were good once, Heinze doesn't convince me that he has a couple of years left in his tank. he is definetly better than what we have and SA has this track records with ageing lacking in form players if he falls into SA radar then it all comes down to the price if we can get him reasonable say under 4mil then I would have him here for 2-3 yrs but if they want silly money then stay clear.
  22. can see your point but on the other hand if you look at it the other way you have a keeper on the books that could have moved numerous times, shay is always going to be our number one and instead of being ambitious enough to want to play week in week out he warms the bench. Not that I dont respect the lad for staying part of the cause just think he could have done better for himself elsewhere.
  23. dont really like liverpool and dont have an opinion on milan, really disappointed by the final at the weekend think this has more potential than that more at stake with such a highly regarded cup competition .
  24. or maybe 3-4 yrs with the help of SA
