Maybe we shouldn't concern ourselves with other clubs' attendances, but the media and every other clubs fans seem to make a big thing of any low crowds we have. As for Blackburn, i bet the whole Town was out in force to see the premiership trophy parded. Where are they now? I think the FA cup is now on a par with the league cup. Everyone throws their reserves in and keeps their big players for the league. It's probably easier to win than it ever has been. We still can't do it mind you.

I think further protests would only put more distance between Ashley and the fans, but i don't understand why Ashley can't keep the fans up to date with the state we're in. If it's bad, so be it. Tell us how bad and we may understand. A clue to what he can do about our situation wouldn't go a miss either. As much as i disagree with how the club is being run, i don't see the point in hounding Ashley out when no-one wants to take over.

When fans of other clubs sing "where were you when you were s**t"? it's fans like you they're singing about. True there comes a time when attending games no longer represents value for money, or you become skint and have to think twice, but personally speaking i'd miss going to the games wether they were against Man Utd or MK Dons. After all, i go to watch NUFC and not the opposition.

It's not good, but in Owens case, we can't say how bad his injury is until after his scan. The lay off time is purely speculation until then. Aye, we're in the mire, but look at some of the teams around us. Boro have taken about 4 points out of a possible last 33. Portsmouth are dropping like a stone. Even Hull, who are only 4 points better off than us, have lost 6 consecutive prem' games. I know i'm clutching at straws, but i think i'm struggling to come to terms with our situation. Trying to tell myself that there'll be 3 worse teams than us this season and that we're playing a poor side on Sunday. I maintain though, if we don't make many good signings in this window it doesn't mean the club has 'failed'. Very few clubs make meaningful moves in January. That's as maybe, but we NEED to make "meaningful" signings, and if we don't there's every chance we'll go down. That's failure in my eyes. He's got this window to restore our faith in him, and to stop himself being the most hated man on Tyneside. Let's hope Ashley takes that chance.

I think it's because we're a club obsessed with looking back. Maybe, but the people running this club don't seem very concerned about our future. Fair enough, they may be looking to bring in young talent. Let's hope they're good enough to drag us back from a lower division. We need established premiership players NOW. Unfortunately Ashley and Co have turned us into a club that no one decent wants to play for/manage. I've said it before, and i'll say it again. They f**ked up in September by not backing a good man, who wanted to succeed here as much as anyone you could find in the world.

Terrible times and i know it's hard, but it's still our club at the end of the day. The Toon are for life, not just for Christmas. Only thing will stop me going is the ever increasing costs. At some point it simply no longer becomes value for money. I mean look, you've got tin pot clubs like WBA charging £40 to get into a league game. Crazy, and can't be justified.

Surely protests were a reaction to the problems at SJP and not the cause of them. Further protests won't do any good unfortunately, but fans can't be expected to say nothing as the club falls apart. Anger and frustration will be shown in some shape or form. As someone pointed out, act poorly in this transfer window, then, heaven forbid, lose to the Mackems, and i don't think everyone will go home quietly.

True, Keegans gone and i can get over it. Unfortunately the reasons he left i.e Ashley/wise etc are still running the club. That's a bit harder to get over.

Had he stayed, and the players that were brought in without his approval, not performed, KK would have been held responsible and possibly sacked anyway. He said before he left the squad wasn't good/big enough and now he's being proved right. I agree. Had he still been here, we wouldn't be involved in a relgation scrap. No it isn't. Not everyone thinks he is without fault, get over it. Of course it is. You can't take away the good KK has done at this club in the past, whatever you think of his leaving this time round. I don't know exactly why he left, but i do know who i think has more love for this club, and it's not Ashley/Wise/Lambias, it's KK. The board have f**ked up by p*ssing him off IMO.
