Shouldn't that have been WN KER?

Anybody think it could be an advantage with him not being retired for long. In the fact that he might have a bit more of an idea who he would like in because of who he didn't like playing against and stuff like that?

Iain Dowie confirmed as joining Shearer's coaching staff
beardsleymagic replied to lovejoy's topic in Football
Would have thought so, till the end of the season at least. When i would like to see John Caver come back. Good coach. -
The frustrating thing is that we've being saying this from day one. But still Ashley (no experience running a football club), Llambais (no experience running a football club) and their cronies do FUCK ALL!!!!! IF (and it's a big IF) we stay up this season, it will be down to blind luck. Not the fuckwitts running the club or fuckwitts coaching the players. And especially not (for the vast majority) the bunch of greedy, lazy, no-bottle, no-pride absolute disgrace of a bunch of so-called footballers we have at the club. And unless a miracle happens and Ashley finds a buyer, this looks like it will be the norm every season he's in charge (in my opinion).

Ask and it shall be done.

What'dya think? Given that Whelan comments might be born from an uneasy feeling that if the Toon come knocking this time, Bruce will be off. Also, the comments Bruce has since made don't actually seem like the words of someone who doesn't want the job.

Bruce will not manage NUFC while Ashley is in charge - Whelan

When it comes to the Toon at the minute I feel like a boxer who's trapped in the corner taking such a beating that I cannot be arsed to hold my hands up to defend myself. I just cannot see anything positive coming out from the club at all. Everything lately has just been so negative. Even the shite they think themselves is positive just depresses the shit out of me (JFK coming back, offered a long term deal, Houghton with all this "the teams behind me" bollocks (no they're fucking not mate!) ect). Fuck me i'm depressed. -
Mike Ashley; what will it take to make you appoint a manager?
beardsleymagic replied to Tsunami's topic in Football
To me it's clear that our two caretaker "managers" ( ) have not got a fucking clue what they're doing. In fact it's obvious they're flapping like fuck. One week bring in Jonas, then they drop him. Bring in Owen for Lovenkrands, then drop him for Lovenkrands. I'm not saying which of these is right or wrong it just highlights the fact that these fuckwits haven't a clue what they're doing. And at this rate are going to take the club down. Then no doubt leave and rake in the cash at some other mug of a club. And what's our owner doing to address all of this.... FUCK ALL!!!! Sorry for the rant, i'm just so....... well, you know -
Dennis is his football "knows how football clubs work" brain at Boardroom level remember. Dennis knows what he is doing. He would easily know that Mid March is too late to make a managerial change to try and avoid relegation. It's not though. Pompey showed an immediate improvement after sacking Adams, so did Blackburn after ditching Ince. Even we picked after appointing Kinnear, all we need is a short term boost of some leadership in the next few games. The point is, if our beloved owner had the slightest bit of common sense he would have done this as soon as JFK took ill. But no.... HE knows better than ever fucker else.

He done exactly the same thing last year.... and missed that one to. Unbefuckinglievable.

Experience and all that shit.

Unfortunately there's no way that he'll drop Butt.
-
100% agree with you there .

Do you think Harper decided himself to punt the ball upfield at every opportunity against Bolton and Hull or did Hughton have some influence?? The team selection, tactics and confidence of the manager has a huge influence on the way the players set about the opposition. I don't think it's any coincidence that we played very well for half an hour against the Mancs when very little was expected of the players and Hughton stumbled across a formation that suited the players we had available for that game. He obviously told the players to go out and hit the Mancs with pace on the break. It's also obvious that Hughton wasn't able to look Michael Owen and Nicky Butt in the eye and tell them that he wasn't going to start with them against Hull. Yeah, all fair points, I'm not a big fan of Hughton either. He wouldn't be the only manager unable to drop a big-name pro though. That's true, but doesn't that prove that these people shouldn't be in charge of big name players though?
-
I don't think it's a case of him not having the balls to bring someone in, i think it's a case of him not being prepared to pay for someone to come in. As i've said before, he's a gambler, that's what he's doing with the future of our club.

Do you want Joe Kinnear to be NUFC manager permanently?
beardsleymagic replied to James's topic in Football
Hopefully if every other Toon website run a poll like this (obviously with all the results more or less the same), it might get some newspaper coverage. Then maybe Ashley might think twice before appointing him long term. Then again.... -
I think one of the main problems is that too many of our players either haven't got the bottle or don't give a fuck. Sad but true.

Blatter "has concerns" over strength of Premiership
beardsleymagic replied to Fugazi's topic in Football
Totally agree . -
To be honest i can't believe some people are trying to cast doubts over Shearer's allegiance to the club. If certain players who are at the club now put in half the effort Shearer did when he was at the club, we wouldn't be in the shit we're in now.
-
Agreed. Oh aye. There's no doubt in my mind that that's the case.
-
Good defender, but a dick of the highest order.
-
Ashley will not pay any more money on bringing in a new manager in my opinion. He's trying to do everything on the relative cheap (in footballing terms anyway). We all heard the stories when he took over about how he gambled with 100's of thousands of pounds on the turn of a card or whatever. That's what he's doing now, taking a gamble. Only not only is he doing it with his own money, he's doing it with the future of the club.

Is Martins doing his Dr. Evil impersonation?

NUSC write up of Llambias attendance at the Supporters Panel meeting
beardsleymagic replied to Happy Face's topic in Football
As i said in a thread before, for me the most worrying thing about all this is the money for future transfers. If as Llambais says, the club is running at a loss, Ashley will only put about £10m in the pot and we are getting the Milner money in dribs and drabs and the club won't borrow any money. Where are the funds going to come from? We have a major rebuilding job on in the summer (whether we go down or not). Our so called star striker is going for nowt, we still need to address the midfield and what happens if someone comes knocking for Bassong or Coloccini, would anyone be surprised if they were moved on to release funds? (I wouldn't). It seems that for the forseable future the club is going to be run as bargain basement shop, keep all the overheads down, keep a manager who'll hopefully just manage to keep us in the division but won't let his mouth go about not getting to much funding, then when the first decent offer comes in, get rid of the club. Now i'm not saying that i don't want Ashley to sell up, but my point is, how long before an offer thats acceptable will come in? It could be years. If we thought we've had it bad in recent seasons, we could be in for a whole new level of mediocrity. That's just the way i see it like. -
Aye but how many games on the trot do man utd play bad?
