  1. Out of three mentioned earlier, I'd say it was Djalo http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a249/johnson293/djalo1.jpg thats him definitely him that like. just looks a bit darker under the gloomy tyneside skies thats all....
  2. maybe he's won Employee of the Month at Sports Direct and a trip to SJP was the prize.... Although he does look more like a young footballer.
  3. "A third can be seen in profile, linking arms with an associate, while another younger-looking man has his arms spread open in the air." Sounds more like a load of ravers off their head on cowies to me......
  4. Seems to me like Saha is a perma-crock. Decent player but soft as clarts.
  5. Red Bull should stick to F1. The corporate team ownership approach works in that sort of sponsorship gone mental environment. I'll never understand the "sports fanchise" concept that you see in the US and Australia. Something about it just seems so empty and devoid of any soul.
  6. I know fuck all about ice hockey other than a load of radge bastards play it. But a big business actually set up a major sports club - Disney and the Mighty Ducks. And I'm sure I saw on some highlights show that Red Bull have a team in the US footy league Personally I think it's a shite concept that has marketing men spunking into their crusty spunk rags but is almost certainly not intended to benefit the fans....
  7. I totally agree with this. I wasn't genuinely advocating that someone rang him and shouted down the phone that he was shit ! Shola pisses me off cos he's not good enough to hack it in the top flight and he's been around for ages and never improved. Due to his lack of skills he is hugely frustrating to watch and gets on people's tits. He's a local lad who loves the toon and I wish him well in his career but I don't want to see him leading the line for NUFC. Just like I didn't want Ramage in our back four. Smith is an entirely different matter. He has been a shite signing. I suspect he must be able to play cos of the previous clubs he's been at, but we've seen fuck all from the lad. If we can punt him on we've had a result.
  8. He'd think they had the wrong number tbf. just make sure he gives an affirmative when you say "Areet, is that Shola", then launch into it...
  9. very true. with NUFC being a prime example. Spending less under the stewardship of a billionairre than we did when a mere millionaire was in charge.
  10. remember when that kid rang up Going Live and shouted "why are you so shit !?!?!" at Five Star. Well someone should do that to Shola.

it's a canny site. as is True Faith. Neither present themselves as being an official voice of NUFC fans, they are unashamedly opinionated and good on them for being so. If you don't like it then don't log on. Simple as that.
  12. Only the EPL clubs as it the richest league & has the most exposure. Libya has a stake in Juventus though. surprised they've not targetted the Spanish league. Although the Barca ownership situation means one of the crown jewels isn't up for grabs. A English lad has just beaten Fred Shepherd to purchasing Real Magaulf yeah I read about that. Although my original point was more about the "real" moneymen (Abramovic, Lerner, Glazer, Thaksin etc etc etc)
  13. Only the EPL clubs as it the richest league & has the most exposure. Libya has a stake in Juventus though. surprised they've not targetted the Spanish league. Although the Barca ownership situation means one of the crown jewels isn't up for grabs. on the other point about brand development etc. I couldn't give a shit who owns or sponsors a club when making purchasing decisions. I've got no money in Northern Rock, I never shop at Sports Direct, I never drink Brown Ale, I only had NTL cos I didn't have the option for a Sky dish.
  14. quick question about the wider footballing world: are the money men also buying up European clubs or is it just the premiership they're focusing their sights on ?
  15. should be a class signing. if he gets on with spiderboy and jose then we're getting a tidy little collection of spanish speakers in the team. should help with settling into the clube etc. can imagine them all down El Coto for some tapas then off to the Salsa Club for some San Miguels... Get a creative midfielder in and a striker and we'll be looking ok for the start of the season.
  16. chill out man. as a fat ginger knacker once said "we're keeping our powder dry"
  17. i don't know, they did it once didn;t they ? are you confident that Ashley will ? Was that a yes or a no? are you renewing your season ticket Ozzie lad , and did you have one anyway ? A yes or no will do ? Did you have one when the club really was mediocre. A yes or no will do ? Yeah, we've renewed. Yes, we had our season tickets through Shepherd's last three managerial appointments. no, I said when we were mediocre Ozzie lad. Not while playing in europe. Did you have one when we were mediocre, a simple yes or no will do. I didn't have one we were mediocre, cos I was a kid and my old man wasn't interested in going to the match. By the time I was old enough to get one and go to the match with my pals we were getting promoted under Keegan. Does this make your opinion more valid than mine ? Just cos you are old enough to have been there during the mediocre years you think you are the dogs left bollock. For most people this is very, very, very irritating.
  18. wise words. I agree 100%. Although a few likely suspects on here will declare you a heretic and question your mental stability for making a statement like that.....
  19. Daft question that. If the manager wants him, then of course I'd have liked to have got him. Question should be, is Keegan happy at losing another target ? And a question for you is : are you happy with the regime missing out on the transfer targets like this ? how do you know we genuinely missed out ? As far as I am aware the club haven't made any statement regarding our interest in Aimar. It was all press specualtion fuelled by Aimar's agent saying "an english club" had come in for him. Am happy to stand corrected if there has been some official communication and I've missed it....
  20. 5 of us who sat in various areas of the gallowgate have managed to converge in 5 seats next to each other in the middle tier. Makes me think there's a lot of people who haven't renewed cos there's loads of choice if you want to move seats......
  21. people need to stop getting so obsessed by what are clearly just rumours that papers and internet wum's spread. we've been linked with at least 80% of professional footballers on the globe this summer, you don't need to be einstein to suss out that journo's just write shite to fill pages in the shite rags. everyone should just chill their boots.
  22. anyone know if there are seats available for movers in the lower tier of the gallowgate ?
  23. who else will be willing to pay him 110k a week anyhow ? arsenal ? no man u ? doubt it. liverpool ? turned him down when we signed him chelsea ? possibly spurs ? no villa ? no everton ? no pompey ? no etc etc etc
  24. what a fucking mong. brrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap
