  1. I probably phrased that badly. He's "on the up" i.e Spurs would be by far the biggest job he's ever had. Unlike Conte and Jose before him.
  2. Feel like it'll go wrong as he's an up and coming who should be grateful for the job, he'll have to endure Levy's ridiculous conditions and won't be able to do the job properly.

    Dogawful Officiating

Referees in general especially in the PL are fucking shit and there needs to be more accountability, transparency and quality in what they do for sure. However, those scenes in the airport go way too far over the line. Nothing wrong with airing your frustrations at the ref from your seat in the ground, and as I say there should be better systems in place to reprimand or penalise a referee who consistently makes bad decisions, but once he leaves the stadium he should be able to feel completely secure of his safety and that of his family without question.

    Football podcasts

I can still remember the early days of the first pandemic lockdown where I'd eagerly await POTT as it would contain the latest "no red flags" titbits from Caulkin; but listening to him and Taylor Payne talking about having sausages for tea and calling Chris Waugh "Private Waffles" or whatever was excruciatingly bad. I get that at the time there wasn't a right lot to talk about as nowt was happening but I never went back to it once there were other reputable takeover news sources.
  5. Status Quo - Rocking All Over The World Here we go here we go here we go Newcastle United are on a roll-llll Eddie and Jason Tindalllll And I like it I like it I like it I like it I liiiiike it Eddie and Jason Tindalllll Heard it earlier this season I think, can't remember when.
  6. Another feather in the cap of Dyche as a manager. Remains to be seen how he gets on next season but if he can steer Everton to a Palace-style 'no threat of going down but not threatening the European spots' 11-14th season whilst starting to sort out their squad it'd be just what the doctor ordered.

    Lewis Miley

Looked good when he came on. He's got quite the stature and physicality for a 17-year old [insertschofieldhere].
  8. Former NUFC assistant manager Paul Simpson just got Carlisle promoted (was part of McClaren's staff) - fantastic achievement. Paul Huntington at the centre of defence too!

Ribeye, it was really good like. If you want a really good steak - Gauchos.

    Mark Gillespie in Gauchos tonight.
  11. £55m and £300k p/w for Mason Nowt
  12. I'd pull out all the stops for Ferguson from Brighton and Jacob Ramsey from Villa. Probably talking best part of £100m the pair like. Also wouldn't be averse to Brennan Johnson as a third striking option, or Lavia from Southampton for the midfield option.
  13. Thought he didn't look out of place which can only be a good thing. Nice end to the season for him.

Loads of "Newcastle United established 2021 into the Champions League" craic from these sad, pathetic losers I thought we were founded in 1992, anyway?

    Sean Longstaff

Great to have him back, thought he was excellent as per.

    Nick Pope

So, so impressive with the concentration levels displayed at the death there. He could have taken a library book out there with him tonight, but to be alert to make that save is the sign of a top, top keeper.
  17. What a bloody ordeal that nearly was What an achievement
  18. Sean Longstaff for me has played out of his skin all season and has been the flag bearer for the intensity, the press, the style of play and has enabled the likes of Bruno et al to shine. And when he's been out of the side we've not quite looked the same. Honestly, the levels the guy has hit consistently have been fucking incredible and whilst I feel this may be a slightly different view on things, I can't look past him on this. Could give an honourable mention to virtually the whole first XI but that's my pick anyway.
  19. at the notion of Bamford. He's shite, injury prone and misses chances for fun.

    Match Atmosphere

Nothing will ever be nearly as shit as him reading fucking poetry at half time.
  21. I think just to be on the safe side re: taking things for granted, they should recruit a certain Mr S Bruce to spearhead their big-budget promotion campaign to ensure they reach their true nadir.
  22. Shame that for Gateshead, mind they were shite on the day and Halifax deserved it. Still a really good season from Iron Mike and hopefully they can push further up the table next year.
  23. That was boring. Palmer looks as though he'll be good in a few years.
  24. O'Neil and Cooper are probably worth an honourable mention for having unfashionable sides that were supposedly stuck-on for relegation and steering them to safety, in GON's case with about a month to spare. Agree that they shouldn't win it though. Emery doesn't merit it IMO, that Villa side should be 7th-10th anyway and it's only the contrast with Gerrard's ineptitude and underperformance that's got him on the list. Silva probably gets in with a serious shout if they finished a few places higher, he's done a good job though - as has De Zerbi although you could argue he had the most stable platform and it's more of a continuation job rather than anything wildly different. Arteta has done well but Howe's level of progress from last season takes him ahead seeing as he didn't secure the title from a good position - for me it's all down to whether Guardiola takes the treble or not. Then it gets a bit harder to argue against him.
  25. Delighted for Cooper and Forest. Proper classic PL club, good fans, and he's a decent manager and seems a good guy. That Awoniyi has been a decent buy at £17m, won them loads of points.
