Please stay fit. He's absolutely vital, no coincidence today that we looked so much more in control with him in there. It helped that Bruno was class and Sean grew into the game and had a decent second half but his support of Burn defensively and quick release on the transition out to Gordon was superb today.
-
That save second half, I couldn't decide if it was one for the cameras or an excellent diving hold of a chance that I thought was going in. He's had a great week, hope he keeps it up.
-
Thought he was very good today, used the ball well, dangerous cross that led to the second goal, tracked back well. Just needs to try and be a bit more consistent, seems as though one week he'll be crap and the next excellent, but he's a very useful option to have.

In Howe speak that means he'll be retiring due to injury by Thursday. Joking of course. Hope he's ok.

Having Willock in there really helps him. Only remember him getting ran once early and after that he was solid, glad he had a good game. Loved his little sorty up front early doors too shame he couldn't hit the target like.
-
Flip flops and cigar mode today. Or maybe flippers and a smoking snorkel. Either way he ran it and looked absolutely in control throughout, showed his quality. Legend.

Spot on today. Much more like it, the control was back, long may it continue.

Was much more like it today. Thought we controlled it in a fashion similar to last season and never looked in much doubt. Wolves had their best spell early second half and we brought fresh legs on to help see us through, what a rare treat! Willock makes such a difference. There wasn't a bad performance in black and white today but having him in there helps us so much both going backwards and forwards. Tino's goal was magic too. Topped off a great day. Everyone got it spot on, Howe included.

I really like him as a sub against tired legs or seeing a game out. He's got a place in the squad unless we get an FFP-tastic offer imo.

The mackem monsoon game could have been the end of Shearer and solidified Gullit's position if we'd won it.
-
The old classic Wolves (h) 1-1 draw I think.
-
4 games against City in one season FFS. Can only assume if we weren't shafted out of CL knockout qualification we'd have had a two-legged tie against them to endure so we could round off the half dozen.
-
Guaranteed if we'd lost that tie last night he'd have pulled ball no. 1 out at home to Coventry.
-
City away FFS. Fuck off.
-
Here we go. Dave Seaman with the balls.
-
I felt sorry for him there. He needed a break, quite clearly, so was made to play the whole 120 minutes. Really hope Willock and Anderson can take the burden off him for a while, cut his playing time down, get himself right and come back to his levels where he's useful.
-
He activated cart horse mode for their goal, not a clue what the fuck he was doing.
-
Welcome back. Some bollocks to step up and take a pen and it was well struck too. Really hope he can get in the side and provide us with some guile and energy as it's badly lacking.
-
Rumour has it he's making them jog back to Newcastle behind the coach.

Only Dubravka and Miggy enhanced their reputations tonight, everyone else was poor to dreadful. Partial exception for Anderson who wasn't on long enough to be tarred with that brush, nice to see him back and lovely pen conversion. Thank fuck, anyway. Can't wait to get City away tomorrow and make the whole effort of tonight absolutely redundant.
