Loping strides, not lean as a cat, but he’ll do
-
Know nothing about him, never heard about him until today. Argentine central midfielder, yes
-
I reckon either Dúbravka or Darlow are off this window, most likely Dubs
-
Shit club, awful ethos, great manager
-
Someone like reading?
-
Hope they manage to land their top target this window, Arnautovic
-
Doesn’t get more bent than that but it’s so blatant you have to wonder if they’re just horrific at their job
-
Doesn’t he then ascend to heaven, as per the extremely reliable Bible. Might we be saying goodbye to Isak earlier than we thought?
-
Better yet, clap him in chains and hoy him in the Tyne as a lesson to anyone who dares to disrespect the Toon

At the other end of the table, 13th-20th are divided by five points. Going to be an incredibly tight relegation battle this season

Conte: “spurs lack creative players” hit the fucking snooze button mate, you’ve set your side up to play horrible football. You’re telling me Son, Kane, Kulusevski etc aren’t top tier creative players?
-
I agree that Chelsea and Spurs should fall away. I can’t see Spurs strengthening much in January as Conte is probably out in the summer. Chelsea will strengthen to a ridiculous degree but it’s no guarantee of anything, the one position they need is a 1 in 2 striker and I’ve not seen any links for them there
-
Agreed that his end product would be better but he has to come, bed in, work in our system and do all the pressing and defensive work Longstaff does. He’s definitely not a bad option but I think if we go for someone they have to be top tier
-
Complete and utter joke of a club and makes a mockery of any financial regulation in football
-
Not convinced he’d be a great short term signing, long term possibly but if we sign anyone this window I want them to be someone who makes a big difference to us finishing top 4
-
They absolutely hate Conte and now Levy too, recipe for a fucked football club.
-
Any contact and he’s down and he gets the foul every single time
-
Young has been an outstanding PL player like, so committed and has quality as well. Shame he went to Man U
-
Think Kane buying fouls for nothing is the thing that annoys me the most when I watch general PL games
-
This match has the feeling that it could boil over, class
-
Cannot be underestimated how much our press, coupled with Almiron, Jow, Longstaff and Bruno tracking back, does to stifle attacks before they even get close to our defence. Now sides are playing in low blocks against us too which reduces the amount of chances they have too
-
He’s never going to be top class but he’s proved he can play a role, he works tirelessly and does a lot of good work tracking back and pressing. However, if he wants to remain in the squad long-term he has two major weaknesses to work on. 1) Getting a pass off earlier or at the very least shielding the ball better so that he doesn’t dawdle and get it nicked off him so much 2) Improving his striking from 15 yards+ I think both of those areas can improve with coaching. His movement is generally good and he’s still young so he can get better but I can’t see a place for him in the squad in two-three years if he doesn’t improve those areas

Gerrard failed miserably at Villa, he had some success with a club in Scotland that will always have success despite where they were when he came in. Surely this should mean he should never be in the running for another PL job unless he has success at a lower level. However, if a PL manager is let go in 2023, will Gerrard stand a chance of getting it? I obviously think he shouldn’t be anywhere near one, and should go down to league one
-
Hmm, recalled or Man U sent back? Did they have an option to send back early? Or maybe he wanted out of there as he’s had barely any game time and was poor when he did play
-
Completely agree, their transfer dealings don’t make any sense at all, they’ve overpaid for a lot of their players and gone for positions they didn’t even need to prioritise. Some major red flags
