  1. ACL at a time when his caterer had already gone backwards, real shame for him. Hopefully he can recuperate and have a future in the game
  2. Maybe Boehly just doesn’t get football and thinks it’s all about collecting players. Gotta collect ‘em all. Respect to his efforts to sign as many defenders and midfielders as possible without getting the player they need the most, a centre forward

I do agree that an incredibly fast progression is really challenging for a squad that still needs a major overhaul. If we were to get into a European spot then almost every player outside our first 11 isn’t up to the standard to be playing regularly against quality opposition. I still think Howe would get the absolute most out of them all though. However, CL is an absolute no-brainer over any other outcome even though we’d likely suffer in the CL for that season and struggle to match our league achievement and finish top 4 again
  4. The offside goal given against Mitoma was ridiculous. What is VAR doing interfering with that, a complete bastardisation of what the offside rule is meant for as well

    Alexander Isak

Desperately need Isak back by Fulham even if it’s only fifteen mins from the bench

Bump the relegationometer thread as I can’t see where we’re getting another six points from by the end of May
  7. Hard to see what’s going to derail Arsenal’s season… apart from a crushing defeat at the hands of Eddie’s mags in the first fixture of 2023
  8. This thread’s going to have to do some heavy lifting until 15th Jan if we don’t get at least a point against Arsenal
  9. Sure, but enough muscle memory should mean you at least set yourself correctly. He should be working on it tirelessly as he gets a lot of shots from a 20-yard range
  10. What a quote from Bruno, he loves the Toon and we love him
  11. Always baffles me how players at this level who have trained their entire lives to play football can’t strike a ball with good technique when it’s one of the easiest things you can work on in training
  12. We should have donned either liverpool or City shirts after 90 mins
  13. Is Longstaff just not getting over the ball? One of his main issues with striking the ball
  14. Not watching but what went wrong with Longstaff’s strike?
  15. We sound dangerous here, crowd is electric
  16. Just get him out the game. It’s clearly all about him
  17. Look at your league games man in the last ten. The spurs result was impressive and a good performance. 18. Mostly one goal wins. Like watching Pardew spawn his way to fifth

    Football pet hates

When commentators sing the praises of goalkeepers after a strike is rifled straight at them and they save it, even though they barely knew anything about it
  20. Antony in such a huff there, looked like a teenager coming off, getting told off by his mum
