  1. Would actually consider giving Manquillo a game in one of the upcoming fixtures. Would offer something different in attack and was one of our better players in the FA cup fixture (not saying a whole lot, I know). Most importantly though, maybe the rest would rejuvenate Trippier.
  2. Feel there is definitely something injury/illness related going on, the drop off has been too steep for someone of his quality and consistency
  3. I think he's fully bought in to the project, the club and the city + his personality, passion and dedication make me believe he's generally committed to staying beyond just this season. Also think there is every possibility he would love to be here for the long-term to realise his ambitions. That said, I do think failing to qualify for the top four this season would put the pressure on in terms of the speed of progression of the project and being able to keep him beyond next season were we to fail to do so again. Players don't typically wait around forever and slow progression feels a lot like standing still. Hopefully we'll get top four this year or next. It is also possible Bruno is a special case in terms of his relation to the club and the desire of our ownership to keep him.
  4. Constant threat today, the only player consistently trying to make something happen in the final third. Would like to see Targett behind him on the left hand side going forward

  9. On the evidence of what we saw in the second half of last season, Fraser can still do a job for a lower half PL team. A coup for Hull if this goes ahead
  10. Was from a video from last year where he was essentially singing along to a rap track, apparently.

    Anthony Gordon

The most logical thought process involves both a) there's reason for considerable doubt on the quality of this player, based on the eye test, statistics and reports from Everton fans b) Our recruitment team have a lot of credit in the bank and will have reasons for pursuing Gordon We can hold both thoughts at the same time and wait to see how the whole thing plays out. Can't imagine there are many sceptics of Gordon who will be hoping to be proven correct if he signs, but there's no need to discard your own judgement of a player ever.

    Alexander Isak

Aye, totally get the excitement but the hyping of Isak on such little viewing evidence so far is OTT imo. He clearly has a quite specific set of strengths and weaknesses and it will be interesting to see how he gets integrated into the team in the fullness of time. Wilson looks off the boil at the moment and some rotation could well be a good idea but to suggest he has suddenly become an obvious second choice right now is jumping the gun for sure.
  13. It's not that Gordon is shite in some absolute way, it's that he's poor relative to the quality of player we should be aiming to attract. I'm sure Gordon could go on to develop and become a mid table PL player potentially, seen nothing to suggest he is capable of anything more.

    Fabian Schär

Hate Bruce a little more after reading that, somehow Up there with my favourite players of the current crop. It was interesting to see a breakdown of how well he and Botman complement each other, really provides a lot of faith in our recruitment team and their potential to continue to build from here.
  15. Would definitely hold fire on Moukoko unless there is absolute certainty over his true age being as is claimed.
  16. Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea Bournemouth 1-2 Forest Leicester 1-3 Brighton Southampton 1-2 Villa West Ham 1-0 Everton Palace 0-2 Newcastle Leeds 2-2 Brentford Man City 2-0 Wolves Arsenal 2-1 Man United Fulham 1-2 Spurs
  17. The manner in which Brighton are dominating against Liverpool just now is seriously impressive.
  18. Fulham x-x Chelsea Villa 2-1 Leeds Man Utd 1-1 Man City Brighton 2-2 Liverpool Everton 1-1 Southampton Forest 2-1 Leicester Wolves 2-0 West Ham Brentford 2-0 Bournemouth Chelsea 1-1 Palace Newcastle 2-1 Fulham Spurs 2-2 Arsenal Palace 0-2 Man Utd Man City 2-1 Spurs
  19. I'm not sure that it is honestly, he played at CM in pre-season games too once he was brought back into the fold. He may have been introduced out wide from the bench for the closing minutes of a few games but I'm pretty sure the majority of his minutes this year have been in the middle.
  20. Very good today, and a capable deputy worth keeping around for now, especially considering he can also cover on the left.
  21. His success at Bristol Rovers came out wide, and he's always looked better coming in from wider positions in his appearances for us too. I don't see why we seem to want him to develop at CM.
