  1. Tbh he hasn't shown much to suggest that he has more to offer than Murphy or Anderson in our team at this moment in time. Too early to be rushing to any judgement beyond that, though.
  2. ASM out is a big blow, a lot of the creative responsibility will fall on Willock's shoulders with him missing out.
  3. Man United 1-0 Everton Villa 3-0 Forest Brentford 0-2 Newcastle Fulham 1-1 West Ham Leicester 2-1 Bournemouth Spurs 1-2 Brighton Wolves 1-1 Chelsea Southampton 0-3 Man City Leeds 1-1 Palace Liverpool 1-3 Arsenal
  4. Gameweek 29 Man City 2-1 Liverpool Arsenal 3-0 Leeds Bournemouth 2-1 Fulham Brighton 2-0 Brentford Palace 1-3 Leicester Forest 2-1 Wolves Chelsea 2-1 Villa West Ham 1-1 Southampton Newcastle 2-1 Man United Everton 1-1 Spurs Bournemouth 0-2 Brighton Leeds 1-0 Forest Leicester 2-2 Villa Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool Man United 3-2 Brentford West Ham 0-2 Newcastle
  5. Same, tempted to switch Kane out for him looking at fixtures, feels risky though
  6. Murphy doesn't deserve to lose his spot to Gordon as things stand. Neither does ASM if he is fully fit.
  7. Don't know if it is necessarily realistic for the coming summer, but Evan Ferguson is the real deal as far as striker prospects go.
  8. Looks so much better out wide IMO. Really good performance tonight
  9. Wouldn't really be interested in any of their players tbh, although Andersen or Guehi would be decent options at CB.
  10. Forest 1-1 Newcastle Villa 2-1 Bournemouth Brentford 2-2 Leicester Southampton 1-1 Spurs Wolves 1-0 Leeds Chelsea 2-0 Everton Arsenal 3-0 Palace

    Joe Willock

The biggest positive from today, aside from the win, was how well Willock, ASM and Isak linked up together. Exactly the kind of interchanges and attacking patterns that had been missing from our play after the restart, and a timely reminder of just how valuable Willock can be in transition. Would like to see us find a way to accommodate all three in the first XI going forward
  12. Honestly don't see the point of a 20 minute MOTD broadcast. The same length of highlights will be up on youtube this evening from skysports anyway.
  13. Bournemouth 0-3 Liverpool Everton 2-2 Brentford Leeds 0-2 Brighton Leicester 1-2 Chelsea Spurs 2-0 Forest Palace 1-2 Man City Fulham 1-2 Arsenal Man United 3-0 Southampton West Ham 1-1 Villa Newcastle 1-1 Wolves Brighton 1-0 Palace Southampton 2-2 Brentford
  14. Didn't they defend Bruce, criticise Rafa etc fairly consistently prior to the takeover, especially during his first season? At least some of them
  15. Honestly think the narrative that our poor form is purely due to chances being missed is overblown, on here and elsewhere. It's a significant factor no doubt, but truthfully our play has declined post world cup on many registers. The intensity of the press isn't there to the same extent, our attacking play is pretty pedestrian and very predictable, with the ball worked to the right for the same passing routines to be used etc. There's a major structural issue with creativity which is observable every time we face a low block team. Looking at chances missed also ignores the quality of chances, the context of those chances in terms of the progression of play etc. It's become a bit of a cop out IMO.
  16. Man City 2-0 Newcastle Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth Villa 2-0 Palace Brighton 2-1 West Ham Chelsea 1-1 Leeds Wolves 1-2 Spurs Southampton 2-2 Leicester Forest 2-1 Everton Liverpool 1-3 Man United Brentford 2-1 Fulham
  17. Would love him here (highly unlikely, I know)
  18. That's a fair point, although I think how we're setting up may be part of the problem at this point tbh. The lopsided full backs, similar patterns of play with Almiron/Trippier and attempting to work opportunities from that side of the pitch rather than finding other avenues of attack (especially through the middle) is producing diminishing returns and has been for some time.
  19. Would actually consider giving Manquillo a game in one of the upcoming fixtures. Would offer something different in attack and was one of our better players in the FA cup fixture (not saying a whole lot, I know). Most importantly though, maybe the rest would rejuvenate Trippier.
  20. Feel there is definitely something injury/illness related going on, the drop off has been too steep for someone of his quality and consistency
  21. I think he's fully bought in to the project, the club and the city + his personality, passion and dedication make me believe he's generally committed to staying beyond just this season. Also think there is every possibility he would love to be here for the long-term to realise his ambitions. That said, I do think failing to qualify for the top four this season would put the pressure on in terms of the speed of progression of the project and being able to keep him beyond next season were we to fail to do so again. Players don't typically wait around forever and slow progression feels a lot like standing still. Hopefully we'll get top four this year or next. It is also possible Bruno is a special case in terms of his relation to the club and the desire of our ownership to keep him.
  22. Constant threat today, the only player consistently trying to make something happen in the final third. Would like to see Targett behind him on the left hand side going forward
