Nice one, man. You can come again. -
Rafa should ask Gamez where he wants to play. Just saying...
-
17 points out of last 21 (8 games since beginning of Feb). Outrageous form!
-
Are you Rob Eliot?

Ah up! Top o’ the mornin’ t’ ye Kai. Eee by gum.

Oooh long pinpoint passes from JJ for superfast Sterling to run on to. Will terrify defences... as long as he pings six per game, which seems to be how many chances Sterling needs to score!

Flawed genius. At least he's had a career in the game. Shame it wasn't as dazzling as it could have been. Edit: err, no. Not that ex-manager chappie.

I second that series of appreciative icons. Good words. Good.

Don’t think he’ll kick a man when he’s down. Even that man.

I think it is a bad thing. If we are a club that the England manager refuses to call up our good players then they must leave to secure a place. Yeah, that would be bad. But it’s a daft premise. It’s not the club he plays for which makes a difference. Look at some of the recent squad debutants from ‘unfashionable’ sides. Southgate doesn’t appear to rate Lascelles, irrespective of current shirt colour. If he moved for big money to a Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd or Liverpool, he would be in the next squad absolutely guaranteed, England managers have repeatedly done it for years picking players because of who they play for and not on ability. So recently players have been picked because they play for Burnley, Stoke, West Brom, Bournemouth, Leicester, Swansea? Obviously not, but it hasn’t stopped them being picked. Of course Lascelles would have a better chance of playing for England if he played for the four sides you mention; because they are all better than England/more difficult to get a starting position. Southgate just doesn’t rate Lascelles as highly as many of our fans do.

That’s hardly a crime... not his fault he can’t afford a Maserati! Snobby-bastard Welsh fascist police-state mother-fuckers.

I thought he had what it takes and was disappointed to see him go. Didn’t seem big enough to be a CB (preferred position) but recall him having Sterling in his pocket (Apols), who was eventually subbed, when playing at Etihad.

Every successful team picks up geographically-random footy fans. Liverpool in the 70s and 80s, Man U in the 90s and noughties. You can chuck Arsenal and Chelsea into the mix and even NUFC, through playing style rather than real achievement obviously, had more of a widespread interest/fan base for a while. Pretty sure it’ll be Citeh now/next. The Mancunian proportion of their crowd and fan base will soon dwindle.

Felt the same when we signed him. But let’s face it, he did very little here and nowt much afterwards. Portuguese Wilshere, Walcott, Welbeck... I’m not building up to calling him a wanker btw, just trying to think of examples of players who didn’t really (yet) fulfill their potential/flattered to deceive.

Solano, Gascoigne, Beardsley, Shelvey?

Seemed like a nice person. RIP.
