Ronaldo
Let the bloke have his holiday man Yeah I go along with this. He'll need a fucking rest before trying to sort out this rabble. Hasn't he been on holiday since about February though? Boom! That aside we've spent years pissing pre seasons away and being shit, have had years of sub standard coaching and fitness training, need about 100 players to make a real squad but aye Steve, finish your holiday mate. No big deal. It's not even June 9th, Mojo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow's_hierarchy_of_needs
Tiotes Witch Doctor
He's got nowt to do until the players report back for pre-season training in July anyway. Are people who holiday on Crete technically bonafide cretins?

We're shite, no need for anyone to bother doing anything out of the ordinary to reverse the situation like. Just me but maybe he could have come back immediately and made a show of it. Come back, review the entire club structure and coaching setup to weed out the shit and identify how to take the club forward. But aye, the players aren't back for a while so why bother? More Piz Biun pls.

mrmojorisin75
For human beings to productively function they need rest and enjoyment. Just like losing teams full of players complaining about needing rest while winners play 20 games more a season and never mutter a word of complaint you mean? I know, I get it man. Nobody
I'm fully with mojo here. He should have cancelled his holiday and came back as soon as it was clear he was getting the job. If he was at all serious, and we were serious about getting him, he should have been watching every single game of the last season (at the very least) and started working on a plan to get us out of the mess the cunts got us in. It's fucking ludicrous man, not like he's taking over a team that had a decent season and just need some tinkering, we're a car crash of a football club ffs. mrmojorisin75
The phone? Wow. When did we get devils advocate Ronaldo? I preferred the Kargon Ronaldo if I'm honest.
Ketsbaia
There's only a small window for players and especially managers to go on holiday, let's not go crazy over this. What difference would a few days make anyway? He won't have a say in transfers, the players are away.
B-more Mag
I bet he has VPN access to the NUFC network and is hard at work analyzing film from every game last season.
mrmojorisin75
As I've already pointed out there's plenty of the frankly gargantuan task that faces him he could be getting on with before the players get back.

He could have been watching every game since we first asked him to take over. If he needs to see more I'm sure he has a PC and internet connection. KaKa
My word. Let the man have is holiday! He's just had a full season with Derby for goodness sake. At least it's out of the way nice and early, and he can get stuck in once he gets back this week now.

Collage
Incoming Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren looking to add to backroom staff John Carver's future is a big issue to be resolved and Steve McClaren could even consider Steve Black, Newcastle-born psychologist http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/incoming-newcastle-united-boss-steve-9413587
James
How do we know he didn't 'reject' the role knowing he'd get a pay off and Ashley having to pay nowt. The game is rigged from the off. Bobby Robson rejected the job twice. After Keegan left, and before we came back with an improved offer when he was actually appointed. Bobby Robson was at Barcelona. Steve McClaren was at Derby County. Just let that sink in. He was unemployed for the second rejection. It's in his book.
