The 'leaders' Cacapa, Rozenhal, Geremi and Smith. :anguish:

Come on, now. After that away win at Bolton on the opening day, I got the Champions badges printed on my top, man.

Looks like 'The Brody' Matt Damon wears in Ocean's 13. ''It is not a prop for prop's sake!''

Actual real statements that make sense after the game. Food for the soul man.

De Jong shedding some light on the approach under Pardew. There was clearly never any intention to try and keep the ball.

In general, it seems pretty obvious that McClaren is more than just an emotional manager like Pardew. He strikes me as someone who even if he's not the greatest in the world, seem to have some clue about his profession. Pardew literally had one plan when it came to tactics, anything outside that frame came as a surprise to him. And he made people around him clueless on top of that, like he confused them.

I'm not going to raise my hands even half the way into the season.

But if anything I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and I really hope the team does well this season cause they really need to do something positive soon.

McClaren will give us a style of football imo. No idea if it'll be good or bad yet, but I think he'll have us playing a particular way. Unlike Pardew who was more concerned with what the opposition do.

Obviously there'll be games against top teams where he might sacrifice it a bit (see Garry Monk at Arsenal where he said they scrapped their normal game plan to combat them, they won), but overall, I think he's a big improvement.
