I actually feel a bit sorry for Steve. Just put him out of his misery and let Cathro take the Leicester game

He could always resign.

"Good ol' Gil never gives up. It'll be better tomorrow - has to be! Heh.."

He could resign but I don't blame him for not doing so, its not as if all of our problems are caused by him and he would just make things easier for Charnley by resigning so I hope he sticks it out.

Anything that takes the decision out of Charnley's hands is good in my book, don't care about making it hard for him personally, just want to stay up.  Had enough of the whole relegation bollocks last time, not following these fuckers down again.  Also can't even contemplate the utter drivel we'll get from all and sundry about how we shouldn't have hounded Pardew out because look what happened, we got relegated and his new club stayed up.. :suicide:

Yet he hasn't spoken to him at all throughout this debacle.

Imagine going into work knowing they dont want you there and just waiting to get the sack

Has this cunt got no dignity

If my boss wanted to sack me and was looking for a replacement but told me i could stay if they didnt find one

Id be back home in time for loose women

Wasn't McClaren sacked by Derby because they wouldn't agree a compensation deal for him walking away?

Something tells me there is 0 chance of him resigning.

But who could blame him? If I knew I was going to be sacked, but also knew I could resign and get nothing or wait until I am sacked and get 3 years salary then I'd be sitting at my desk until my replacement shows up!

I've got a feeling Steve has been told they are looking for a replacement with him staying on the board in a dof role

Aye, I've had the same thought.

He's need some thick skin to accept that. Not sure he's getting paid enough either.
