Jose Mourinho

FWIW the best football Chelsea have played by far came under Ancelotti, who also won them the double in his first season - which Mourinho hasn't managed in 6 attempts.

Absolute rubbish. The best football they played was easily when Robben was at his best and then after that it was under Hiddink. You and Ancelotti man.

Absolute rubbish? They played amazing football. Brilliant to watch and still more goals than any other team have managed in a PL season, even when the format was 46 games. You need to calm your act and smarten up, KI.

Edit: Sewelly knows.

Thing is Mourinho's teams probably could have run wild but he's absolutely obsessed with declaring at 2-0 or as early as possible and killing the game by being snide.

That really, really pisses me off.  So needlessly negative but then again he went years without losing a home game before recently being worked out.  Their nosedive has been incredible like, it really has.  When you look at their squad, they're vastly underperforming.  The stuff with the medic seems like the beginning of the end.

Fears gone, like Man Utd under Moyes. Definitely a huge factor. Stops "big clubs" playing shite and getting away with it as the rest go after them and create chances.

Nah, Ronaldo is spot on. Ancelotti's Chelsea absolutely obliterated the league, scoring 103 goals and battering teams left right and centre. Compare that to Mourinho's first two seasons where they scored 72 and 73.

We're talking about when they played their best football. For me it was when they first got Robben and then under Hiddink. It's not a defence of Mourinho either, his teams are absolutely awful to watch, but imo they were best to watch during those two periods.

Robben was great to watch which is true but overall Ancelotti's team was way more entertaining

Totally disagree like, it's a matter of opinion obviously. Personally think that they were far better to watch in that Hiddink period too.

Yesterday was a classic example of his rotten boring football philosophy. Go up a goal early, and then sit back, give Liverpool all the position, and eventually concede before losing badly in the second half. Mind you he's not helped by the fact only Willian is playing half decent at the moment.

They've been performing pretty badly since they got battered by Spurs last year. Fabregas, Matic etc. haven't been the same since. Absolutely awful in the KO round of the CL. Grounded out wins for the rest of the season.

They had a poor pre-season. Many said it was because they came back late to pre-season. Lost plenty in pre-season, lost charity shield, lost the game with Eva Caneiro beef I believe. This has been 10 months in the making.

wouldn't say they performed badly in the latter half of last season as they were kept very very restricted by mourinhio. They still played well mostly if bloody tediously.

The idea that Chelsea wouldn't have won as much as they have without Mourinho. I don't even rate him but Ranieri would've won s*** as well with the same level of investment.

They would have eventually won the title like City have, but Mourinho came in in his first season and turned an almost NUFC like (under Sir Bobby) Chelsea into immediate winners and that whole sea change swept through the club and is now ingrained to the point where winning nothing is a failure. Outside of Abramovic he is the most influential person in their entire history.

Btw, they spent like 120m under Ranieri in one season... he saw huge investment.

Anyway, for me Mourinho is best when he can come into a club that needs turned around, that needs to win a trophy, that needs his abrasive style of management and methods.

He is not someone who can keep sustaining success at one club. He is too confrontational, too intense and his methods  are about the now and tomorrow and not next year or a few years down the line.

He has no interest in player development, youth or the future. That's why his football is negative. If his side is sailing home at 2-0, his eyes are on the next game, conserve energy, play out the game, kill it ready for the next match etc. His tactics, coaching and his philosophy is all about winning, not conceding, not allowing the opposition a sniff of getting into the game and perhaps beating his side.

He bullies his players mentally. They will run through brick walls for him and they will do as he say, but only for so long. Players are individuals at the end of the day and they need to be set free now and again, to be an individual. Hazard was very good last season, but under someone like Wenger or KK he would have been even better. Under Mourninho he's a top-class player. He will never be a world-class player under him. Look at Robben at Bayern for example.

Mourinho killed Duff and Cole, he got one or two good seasons out of them, but they were spent well before the end of their time, well spent. We will see the same with Costa and co.

I'd have him here in a heart beat, however. Spend 100m on the right kind of players and he will deliver you a trophy, guaranteed at any club.

He is who we should have appointed after Sir bobby, he would have turned that team and that kind of investment into winners. Alas we got Souness.

Aye that's what I said the other day, it's unravelled since then. A lot of people turned on him and he's lost his shit more and more since then. Was a fucking ridiculous thing to kick off about so publicly as well, she was only doing her job.  He's on the ropes now like, a lot of the players clearly can't be arsed with his shit anymore.
