geordie_b Posted Wednesday at 14:14 Share Posted Wednesday at 14:14 I was the guest of Mansion that day (Spurs shirt sponsor) and was in their corporate box on the half way line. We had been very reserved and respectful until the moment the ball left Obas foot, things changed very quickly from that point. Last thing I remember was finishing the fridge of free beer and laughing at Frank Mclintock in the pissers. I wasnt invited back.

Menace Posted Wednesday at 16:48 Share Posted Wednesday at 16:48 I remember that Bolton game under Big Sam, we actually looked like a good team. Oba was so unpredictable, his numbers for us were very decent all things considered.
Chris_R Posted Wednesday at 18:11 Share Posted Wednesday at 18:11 I once spent a very enjoyable 20 minutes watching him try to parallel park his sports car outside a nightclub in Newcastle. Have no reason to think he was drunk, but it was quite the attempt!
M4 Posted Wednesday at 19:22 Share Posted Wednesday at 19:22 He was probably trying to drive with his other foot just because why the hell not... Like that penalty he took, the absolute nutter
alexf Posted Wednesday at 19:29 Share Posted Wednesday at 19:29 Never thought we saw too much outright pace from him when he was here. Probably cus secretly his age was probably pushing closer to 40 than 20 He had explosive shooting however.

Cookie1892 Posted Thursday at 12:18 Share Posted Thursday at 12:18 I was told a story and im sure it was in the papers that he rivalled Tino in the partying stakes with randomers being invited to his house parties and lasses everywhere Didnt he withdraw all his wages of a weekend and just go blow it in town as well? He lost like all his money, I think. Partly feel sorry for him. As he was clearly done over by dodgy agents and management companies by all accounts. Was owed millions, I believe. He left school at 13 and made it to the top in elite sport. But the stories of £70k a week and then having to borrow money and get loans. Sort of hard to sympathise too much with him

Lush Vlad Posted Thursday at 20:46 Share Posted Thursday at 20:46 My favourite moment is when everyone was seemingly shit scared of that bird that had made its way onto the pitch. Oba just went and picked it up and carried it off. My old man who is a bit of an old fenland country boy got dead excited and proclaimed “that’s a bloody woodcock. What’s that doing on the pitch?!”

By contrast, decent midfield; Dyer, Milner, Butt, Solano. Weird team.
