New Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has done really well since he came in - only one defeat in four.

His side were slightly unlucky against Wigan, Manchester United and Everton, but they very comfortably beat Manchester City.

This is a tough match for the Saints though. Newcastle made some decent signings in the transfer window and upped the ante both in the dressing room and on the pitch.

Magpies manager Alan Pardew hasn't got too many players out injured and there is now competition for places.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Merses prediction.

Swansea v Newcastle

PAUL PREDICTS: 2-1

Newcastle had a very good result against Southampton last week, but I'm going for Swansea to win this game and follow up their good week after they won the Capital One Cup Final. I just think the way they keep possession and pass the ball around could be too much for Newcastle

Lawros

Swansea v Newcastle

Swansea went to St James' Park and won comfortably in November but their chances of winning on Saturday probably rely on how much celebrating they have done since winning the League Cup last weekend - it would be understandable if they had partied long and hard since winning their first major trophy though.

Newcastle have improved a lot since they were beaten by the Swans but it was never going to take much to turn their fortunes around, which is exactly what is happening.

It must be quite a frustrating season for Alan Pardew, because the second half of it has been all about dealing with the problems from the first half. I think they will finish the campaign like a train though.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

He is up against the cunt that is Peirs Morgan, this is the first week were I hate Lawros opponent more. He predict a 2-0 Swansea win.

There's been a different feel about Newcastle over recent weeks.

They played well against Swansea last week, were in command for periods, and were unlucky to lose.

Stoke aren't great away - one win on the road - and with two goals in their last four league games they are struggling a little for goals.

Tony Pulis's side are so difficult to play against at home but I don't see them getting anything at Newcastle.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0
