mrmojorisin75
I'd pick Carroll over Zamora. We're supposed to be planning ahead, not just 2 years. nah this is England Billy, not some other country with any fuckin sense
Ronaldo
Capello is still a fantastic manager. People are far too quick to forget just how well we qualified especially after a dismal qualifying campaign under McClaren. He made his mistakes tactically but the players didn't look up for it. You can't polish a turd. I'd be just as happy going with another foreign manager once Capello goes. As long as they have the right qualities to do the job, I don't see how their nationality should matter.
BlueStar
Thing that worries me at the moment is this attitude that it's perverse for teams outside the top four to have any good players. Stupid Craig Bellamy has gone to become a hero at his local club when he's good enough to come off the bench for Man City every now and again or could be a bit player in Spurs Champions League efforts, every day Rodallega spends at Wigan he's wasting his life, if Schwarzer stays put when it's possible he might be an improvement over what Arsenal currently have between the sticks it's almost like Fulham are cheating against the teams they have around them. If he comes good or even looks like he has serious potential to come good it won't be too long until the footballing world almost demands that he should be in the squad of a better club so they can see him in action for the TV favourites in the Sky 3D Mega Monday Special. Ronaldo
Rodallega is becoming horifically overrated. But yes, he is wasting his life at that shitehole of a club.

Ridman
For all the hype Zamora has been getting, his goal record is shit 11 goals in 62 league games for Fulham the past two seasons (for a team that finished 12th and 7th). Sure he isn´t all about goals but now that Heskey has retired I wouldn´t mind seeing two strikers up front for England that can actually score

No idea, just wanted to bash Heskey - seems fun!
Zero
Well the reason why Heskey was chosen is because he is already the best option.

OzzieMandias
I don't often like the Guardian when it's being "funny", but this is good... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/aug/28/england-fabio-capello-andy-carroll "No doubt in Denmark they dream of the next great balding utility midfielder." BlueStar
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/aug/28/england-fabio-capello-andy-carroll With Carroll the talk has centred on his sheer girth and scale. He is 6ft 4in tall. This has been repeated many times, as though it is in itself the answer to something, mick mccarthy on carroll and that he tried to sign him but got nowhere http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3114986/Mick-McCarthys-a-Carroll-singer.html McCarthy - a burly centre-back in his playing days - knows his defenders have a game on their hands against the 6ft 5in ace. He grows an inch every time I read an article about him, by Christmas he'll be standing waist deep in the Tyne like Godzilla, swatting Sky Sports helicopters out of the air. Honestly though, it's ridiculous and almost slightly worrying. I'm delighted he's coming good and he's an incredibly useful player for a team in our position to have with some future potential, that's it. I just hope his sudden promotion from "Not good enough" against Man U to "Already the best traditional centre forward in the prem" and "First name on the Sun's England team sheet" doesn't lead to fans of other clubs demanding they nick him to become the ready made Drogba replacement or the answer to Liverpool's toothlessness up front. It'll fuck us over and will probably disappoint his new gaffers when they play him up front on his own every match against title hopefuls and Champions League rivals and expect him to bag a hat-trick every match. He's ours and we need him, England can have a look once he's concentrated on helping keep us up this first season and every other club can fuck off and buy some ready made player from abroad. David28
When does Capello name his next squad for the qualifiers? (Or has he done it already?) I think Carroll should be getting into the squad from now on. England should build a team for the EURO 2012/WC 2014 and Carroll will probably be one of the best strikers by then. Newcastle Fan
Still remember that Man City game two seasons ago when everyone was bashing him, i was one of few who defended him and thought he'll come good, glad to see i was right for once
