Guest neesy111
BR has said he could let Carroll out on loan which clearly is a tell tale sign that he isn't part of BR's long term plans
dcmk
I would take him on loan, even if we keep Ba, still rate him very highly.
NG32
I would take him on loan, even if we keep Ba, still rate him very highly. He wont come back to sit on the bench tho.
AyeDubbleYoo
Surprised Rodgers won't give him a chance TBH. He was playing better at the back end of last season and a new manager etc would probably be just the start he needs. Guess he just doesn't think Carroll can fit into Swansea-style sexy football. Thomson Mouse
Do they expect them to be sitting in a dark room flagellating themselves? Clearly they are! Witness the regular cry of "overpaid" - ignoring the fact that the players don't get paid to play for England (and is probably WHY they don't perform for their country) I think they do get paid for playing for England, but not a significant amount. It was reported they'd donated it to charity the last World Cup. The real money they earn for England is all the advertisements and endorsements they get. On the Carroll subject, they probably think he's the new Christian Vieri. They do get paid for playing for England. It happened a while ago and I may be wrong, but I remember there was talk of them striking if they didn't get paid. When they started to get paid was when the pride of playing for your country largely disappeared and was replaced with the apathy that is there now. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
pissed off at the amount of wallpushers saying "send him back on loan to Newcastle for a bit". Simply forgetting 1. Would we actually want him? 2. Why should we 'develop' another club's player for them? 3. Would he actually get in our XI
BrettNUFC
Get him back and pop him along to Whitley Park with the odd appearance at St James' in front of the East Stand. Judas Kernt.

Belfast Boy
West Ham it is then. That's a very good shout actually. Can't see them affording his wages. Is that not the reason they didn't get Joe Cole back on loan?
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Not looking good for himm like.
loki679
Holt and Carroll up front? There'll be some bruised defenders in the prem, that's a fearsome combination in the air.
AyeDubbleYoo
Not looking good for himm like. Well, don't think he's going to end up on the dole.

Is that not the reason they didn't get Joe Cole back on loan? Don't know mate. If they're going to sign Maiga for £4.5m (as reported), I'd not be entirely surprised to see them can that and divert the funds Carrolls way. You have to think that Fat Sam is all about results, survival and hideous direct football. Carroll's signing would compliment that perfectly imho. ponsaelius
I would take him on loan, even if we keep Ba, still rate him very highly. That is the worst suggestion yet. We butter him up and back to form for Liverpool.
Dave
I would have thought we have a favourable buy back agreement. There's no chance we'd invoke it though IMO.

Minhosa
What's our sell on % in the event someone buys him? Seem to remember there were some specifics quoted when we flogged him.
TheGuv
56 games for Liverpool in 18 months...11 goals. 6 in the league 5 in the Domestic Cup's. (How many of those were against lower league teams) No way he's worth anything near £10million. Would people seriously want him back?
AyeDubbleYoo
What's our sell on % in the event someone buys him? Seem to remember there were some specifics quoted when we flogged him. People seem to think it's percentage of profit. Which would be £0.
