Guest elbee909
It's lucky he didn't want to moralise about the trouble Carroll has been in or he may have spent even more than half of the article detailing each incident. He has a point though, if only Gazza had left friends and family in little Newcastle at 21 and moved to a bigger city where he could get away from those hangers on and live a peaceful life things could have been so different. Perhaps Carroll should follow the example of Dyer whose career blossomed once he moved on. Are you blaming Newcastle for the problems in Gazza's life? If so horse shit! Gazza was supberb for Newcastle but he didn't stay that long he was in London, Rome and Glasgow longer than in Newcastle, certainly as a player. Crikey. Ketsbaia
Said it in the other thread too, but well done Andy - you deserve it! It'll be the first non-WC England game I've seen (properly) for years.
M4
I hope he does us proud and plays that battering ram style we've seen from him of late. ... most importantly, of course, no injury please.

Guest palnese
Carroll said: "It's a real honour to be selected for England. It obviously shows I am progressing on the pitch and it is fantastic that Mr Capello has given me this opportunity to be involved with the senior England team." nufc.co.uk

Cunning_Linguist
Excellent News. The Big Man is really starting to come good. Excited about the football on Wednesday now just no injuries please. Cannot believe how quickly he has progressed tbh, After we lost Oba and MO and Viduka I was concerned but they have gone now. If he carries on like he is imagine what he will be like when he hits his peak!!!!!

Cunning_Linguist
Not actually seen it yet, listening to the radio for what its worth and they were of the opinion that Carroll had another great game today.
Flip
I think his biggest improvement has to be his technique. Although he's still not the best with the ball at his feet he has shown progress and does some dribbles sometimes and if he can develop that he'll become a deadly player. Cunning_Linguist
I was at the Wst Ham game a couple of Seasons ago when he scored his first Premier League Goal, a trademark header, Back then he wasn't holding the ball up as much or laying it off but now it just seems like he always wants the ball and that to me is sign of confidence. I think the agression he plays with is spot on at the moment, There is no denying he hasn't had his fair share of off-the-pitch incidents and for many players this sort of thing can be used against them in a match but AC doesn't seem to be bothered by it. Professional behaviour and all that......
JH
Aye, I was at that WHU game too. It was a fucking beaut - similar to the Stoke goal he scored weeks later too iirc. He managed to loop the ball and get it to dip into the top corner. Dipping a ball with his head! I thought I was seeing things
Disco
Definitely seems to have improved his all round game and link up play. Also his application and effort seem a lot better IMO. Long may his improvements continue.
Cajun
If he wants it he could be awesome, just hope he grows up and realises exactly what he has.
9
Very pleased for him theres no one out there that can say he has not earned his place As horrible as relegation was Andy Carroll getting a season in that league under his belt has turned out as a huge blessing, that could also be said for quite a few of our other players.
