mrmojorisin75
Just saw this on the FIFA ticker news bar, was like WTF. He will give us 100% and will get into the box, I'm not complaining. diablo, your moving is immense, you're my new personal hero
S.S.R.
Sorry to keep babbling on, but I wonder if Barton would have went in the opposite direction had he not broken his foot.
joeyt
SO MUCH OPTIMISM!!!
Minhosa
£3m is the max I'd be comfortable seeing us pay. Hopefully we'll give him a new lease of life. Very strange move for him mind.
oldtype
Can you imagine the devastation on this forum if this doesn't go through? The relegationometer will get dragged up to
Guest Stephen927
I like Kevin Nolan. Nothing special but knows what hes good at and plays within his limits very well. I seem to remember when we were linked with him when Sam was here and people weren't too happy
Yorkie
Butt and Nolan is going to be exciting as fuck, btw.
SUPERTOON
Butt and Nolan is going to be exciting as f***, btw. Surely it will be Guthrie?
Guest toonlass
Better than Butt and once Barton and Guthrie are back Butt shouldn't make the team which should be a good thing.
Flip
Im really excited about this now. Nolan was a good player under Big Sam, hasnt been the same lately but can definetely score goals, and have been in a relegation battle before. We need a player like this especially as we probably cant attract better players right now!
Parsley
Had a quick wander ( ) through some Bolton forums and the general crack is that he's rubbish
Dr Venkman
Butt and Nolan is going to be exciting as fuck, btw. yup, thats what we've got to look forward to until guthrie's back, at which point if he doesnt drop butt i'll personally kill JFK
AyeDubbleYoo
He's actually not that old either is he? He's got potential if he can unlock it again. A body for midfield, can't complain, in the circumstances a very good signing.
MidfieldGeneral
It's slightly worrying reading Bolton fans take on this. Most of the comments I've read so far are saying the same things. Glad to get rid of him, unfit, over weight, out of form, hasn't played well for months etc etc
SUPERTOON
Gutted even more about Barton, would have been a great partnership and one that would have done very well in a relegation battle.
Dr Venkman
Had a quick wander ( ) through some Bolton forums and the general crack is that he's rubbish he's playing under megson though, our manager will.....oh wait, no

Chase
I didn't see this one coming at all. very good player in my opinion, tough, attacking and willing to defend. very happy with this signing if he does join us.
Guest Stephen927
He would be the attacking midfielder we all wanted in the summer, though he doesn't have as much flair as we may have hoped after being linked with Modric, Aimar and Schweinsteiger He's got a decent goalscoring record from midfield, something sorely lacking at this club. Hope this deal goes through. Would think it's around the £5m mark.

SUPERTOON
Sky Sports News sources understand that Newcastle have agreed a fee with Bolton for Kevin Nolan. Magpies boss Joe Kinnear has spent the majority of the January transfer window frantically searching for fresh faces, and may have found one. The St James' Park coach has seen his squad decimated by injuries this term, with Michael Owen and Joey Barton joining the ever-growing casualty list on Wednesday. Nolan, though, would provide experienced cover in the middle of the park, helping to soften the Barton blow. The 26-year-old has spent his entire career to date at Bolton, breaking into the Trotters' first team fold a decade ago. He has earned international honours with England's U21s in the past, while he has often been mentioned in connection with a step up into the senior squad. Newcastle and Bolton have yet to confirm that an agreement has been reached for the combative midfielder, but Sky Sports News sources claim a deal is imminent. oldtype
Kevin Nolan, please come. You're our only hope. What a sad bastard I've become.
Guest Howaythetoon
A new move to a bigger arena will see him rise to the challenge, he has always had that kind of mentality - i.e. performing against the better sides for Bolton. For a reputed £3m he would represent a good bit of business indeed.
