ujpest doza
i thought he had a very good game today bar the rick for their goal. Couple of very timely interceptions in the 6 yard box when we were under pressure. Will get hammered when we play someone with a decent right winger mind. AliGupter
Really hope he's not playing v Lennon in a few weeks time.

Newcastle Fan
Reading his Wiki page made me chuckle Wigan Athletic Taylor had the worst year in his professional football career with injuries in 2006, a low point in his career. He broke his fifth metatarsal in a FA Cup match against Leeds United and then, in his first outing back, he broke his leg in a reserve clash against Newcastle United. Taylor scored his first goal in the Premier League against Newcastle on 25 February 2007. From just outside the penalty area, Taylor let one of his specialist direct free kicks fly straight into the top corner with the returning Newcastle goalkeeper, Shay Given, left stranded after 40 minutes. Wigan went on to win the match. In late 2007, Taylor made a resurgence into the Wigan first team, providing several excellent performances under new manager Steve Bruce, including his second Premier League goal on 26 December, with another free kick against Newcastle. On 15 November 2008, Taylor scored yet another goal against Newcastle, a long-range shot from 20 yards. His next goal would also come against Newcastle, on Boxing Day, bringing his record to 4 goals in 4 consecutive games against Newcastle, 3 of which came from free kicks, and two consecutive goals against Newcastle on Boxing Days. Newcastle United On 2 February 2009, Sky Sports reported that Taylor was at St James' Park undergoing a medical, and Newcastle's website later confirmed Taylor had signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the club
Guest carlie
Yeah we signed him just to make him quit scoring against us!

Pilko
A question for all those who are panning him currently: Do you think that we'd still be on this mega unbeaten run if it was Perch selected from Arsenal onwards to play left-back instead? nufc4eva
He cost us a goal against blackburn with sloppy passing, hopefully not today. Also hate his free kicks, he always hits the first man. Should be cabaye taking all of them imho

Should be cabaye taking all of them imho Still think this line of thinking is bullshit. He made a bad pass about five passes before they scored. Did his bad pass put us under unnecessary pressure? yes, did it directly result in a goal? no. They switched the entire field of play before putting it into the box to score. If anything Simpson was more at fault.
Guest
I'm normally not one for stuff like this, but a daft second yellow-card in the last few minutes today with the match already safe would be handy if it guaranteed Santon starts versus Spurs. womblemaster
didnt he tear his finger nail in the paintballing, so will be out for few weeks while mending..... *wakes up* ....oh crud!
Ash
I know it's not fashionable to praise him but he was very solid again today. The block he made in the first half after Krul had made the save that had deflected off Steven Taylor was absolutely class. By no means the long-term answer playing as a full-back but really hope he gets a chance at RB at the expense of Simpson once we introduce Santon into the side. jdckelly
tbf to him other than the qpr game where he was utterly abysmal he's been reasonably solid in most games, not brilliant but useful squad player
Ronaldo
Coloccini helps him out all the time which leaves gaps through the middle. Sooner one of the current full-backs is banished to the bench forever, the better. Neither are good enough.
TRC
On current form he is better than Simpson

ATB
He´s been playing good in that he doesn´t make big mistakes and that he is good to block shoots etc. BUT he must be dropped. Against Wolves every single attempt at his flank ended up in a goal chance. It was like a highway! The reason why he´s not making any mistakes is that he is no where to be seen. Santon MUST in. Guest
Has saved us two goals at critical times in the last two matches now with blocks or clearances. We need to get Santon in the side though.
ATB
yeah I agree with that. But at the same time. He isn´t really stopping any attacks that comes at him, so it really just even out., at best
SiLvOR
I'd certainly switch him over to RB and give Simmo that much needed kick up the arse.
Tiresias
might be worth it actually
Sifu
Was solid yesterday. Fair play to him. Still shouldn't be our LB though.
Heron
Really impressed with him. Playing to the best of his ability and out of position, but has done excellent.
