johnnypd
They made 8m in January. it's mind boggling. ashley is the embodiment of utter, utter cluelessness.
Cronky
In the end, we were lucky to get a point. Our only hope now is Joey Barton. He may just add the creativity and confidence we need. Sorry to be a broken record, but what exactly is Owen's contribution? If he's there purely to get on the end of chances, he's got to take one that's as easy as that. Beren
Apart from that bizarrely apathetic last 10 minutes, we fought hard. A lot of players didn't look entirely fit - which may explain the last 10 minutes. Ultimately though, we simply don't have the talent in midfield to score goals, irrespective of tactics, heart, desire, luck. Still a glimmer of fading hope. S.S.R.
Owen couldn't have hidden himself better if he'd painted himself green and laid down. Those last ten minutes were like the end of Casino Royale, where Bond can only watch as that woman drowns in the cage.
Mistle17
But how the fuck did that stupid twat Martins miss that chance? How...how the fuck can that stupid, overpaid cunt miss from 4 yards?!!!!

chicago_shearer
Just a word for the Butt haters - the last 20 minutes were a complete waste of time because we couldn't get the ball - guess why? "the Butt haters." Jesus. We basically ensure relegation, and someone is on here defending Nicky fucking Butt. Jesus.
Lenny
Hate to say it, but I think that's us done in the Premiership. Can't fault the effort, they worked their bollocks off and it showed in the last 15 when they tired. We need three points at either Villa or Liverpool now. WhatTheFunk
So difficult to describe the feeling. It's somewhere between dealing with and imagining life in a lower division, and having a feint glimmer of hope that some sort of miracle can save us. Very difficult emotions tbh

AGREE 100%..We need to go to 4-4-2 and have some width...anither worrying thing is our superior goal difference might not be so after Sunday.
BlueStar
If anything Fulham are going to be even harder to break down, really can't see us getting points from anyone but Boro. Guess Ashley will probably be forced to sell if we go down, bet he wishes he'd snapped some hands off just before he took us off the market.
Guest daveaha
How on earth are we meant to beat Fulham? Im sorry, but this could be it for us. How on earth are we meant to beat Fulham? Im sorry, but this could be it for us. No way. They're much better side than us (right now). Morale low, confidence is low. Fulham is chasing Europe. AyeDubbleYoo
On another day we could have won this easily. I just hope there are enough of those 'another days' left to keep us up. As we thought, it's going to be fucking close.
Guest hatter
But how the f*** did that stupid t*** Martins miss that chance? How...how the f*** can that stupid, overpaid c*** miss from 4 yards?!!!! Just seen it on the TV news. Can not believe he missed that one. Hopeless.
Beren
Martins didn't look fit and I think the reason Owen panicked and snatched at his chance was because he hadn't had time on the ball or been involved in the match up until that point.
lebrock
Yet another anti-climax, had at least two dirty slag-easy chances to win it. Fucking wank match though. Barca - Chelsea tomorrow is going to be like watching porn in comparison. Just going to have to win against boro and rely on hull being more shite than us. It's head-to-head shit team top-trumps now. Christ.
Guest firetotheworks
Funny how the strike force that have been starved of any describable service for almost the entire season had two amazingly clear cut chances and fucked them up. They were terrible misses at any level.
mozy
Michael Owen you stupid fucking fuck. Just fuck off and die behind a rock for 4 games, more use there than on the pitch, you FUCK!
afar
I feel kind of numb right now. I'm dreading the next few games, where do we go from here ? I felt sure the players would respond to Shearer when he came in but it's clear that they are just beyond help. They are a sorry bunch who don't deserve to be playing in the Premiership, unfortunately the main culprits probably will next season as their reputations will buy them a move to top flight club. The only people that will be hurt by this are the fans and they despite what that lunatic above posted don't deserve it.

Since Owen's forgotten how to score, just about _any_ of our strikers bar Shola should have started the game ahead of him. The only player to come out of that game with any real credit was Viduka.
