Mole_Toonfan
Good luck to him, doubt he's actually going to play this weekend though.

Mole_Toonfan
Don't mind if he plays or not TBH. Neither do I but as I understand it he's not first choice and Brighton mainly played a second team yesterday.
toontownman
The transfer was formalised after they met our clause of games that had to be played to make the loan into a permenant deal.

TRon
If Brighton was the best move he could get, that would suggest he's well past his best. He done well for us for a good while, best to remember those times and move on.

He done well for us for a good while, best to remember those times and move on. It would suggest he was just coming back from injury and clubs didn't want to take the risk. Hope he does well there after a good start last night
AyeDubbleYoo
I do think our handling of this is very strange, if he's going to return to fitness he's better than anything we have. Maybe we assumed we would be able to sign a new keeper.

Paully
No idea of how much wages Brighton were paying for his loan but he was on about 50K a week with us!
Dr.Spaceman
So assuming we're no longer paying him a penny we should have enough in the bank to sign someone in January.
Figures 1-0 Football
Such a bizarre deal from our POV In what respect? We've sold a player that our manager doesn't (and never has) rate, reduced a further strain on our wagebill, weakened an opposition (based on the fact that our manager doesn't rate him), potentially bought in a nominal fee for him either through the loan or permanent transfer, got rid of one of our FOUR goalkeepers on the books. It's almost like people have forgotten how much he was in decline pre-injury. I mean Rafa's only been at the club for a year and a half and had plenty of time to look at him in training or during the terrible loan spell he had in Holland. joeyt
He won't be able to play, he's on loan until the transfer window opens in January. From the official website: Krul – who made his debut for Chris Hughton’s Seagulls in their Carabao Cup defeat to Bournemouth on Tuesday, having initially joined on loan last month – could now feature for his new club when they take on United in Sunday’s Premier League clash. Foluwashola
Ryan will play though, surely. Anyway, best of luck to him. Think he's completely gone as a keeper, but he's a top bloke and a geordie. Great memories.
