The other possiblity is that as we are no longer a big spending club, he might have got a better offer from another club. 1878 says Everton want him, and they are one of the few bigger clubs who are bargain basement hunting. Probably suits them to compete with us for players rather than clubs in their own division as they are on a pretty tight budget these days.

Well they they can turn around and sell him to Manchester City for stupid money in two years time.

For Kilgallon it probably makes sense to stick the season out at Shef Utd, he gets regular football til June and has considerably more options to pick from with Everton and no doubt 4 or 5 more on a free with higher wages for him as well, imo thats what his agent will have told him rather than sign for us now and potentially lose out financially.

Alright fuckfaces, if you don't like Kris Commons (who is a winger by the way) then replace him with someone you do like - Graham Norton perhaps?

loser

Oh dear.

Abusing someone else because they don't agree with you ?

Someone's scraping the barrel and trawling through threads (alliteration, king me) to score points.

loser

Oh dear once again....whoops ! Nearly tripped over your pet lip ! ;D

With Simpson as well as Kilgallon possibly holding out for better wages it seems that player agents are having a hard time coming to terms with the financial reality facing most clubs these days. A lot of these players are pretty ordinairy as well.

yeah, players surely gotta find out that the pay they get ISNT that bad for what they do. The financial state in the PL/CCC cant have gone by them unoticed?

you must also remember that burnleys finances are much tighter than any other club and they have a wage ceiling of 15k or so i think.

Caulkins twitter says he was at Sunderland today to push through a £2m deal.  So much for wanting to stay till the summer then;

"Matt Kilgallon was at #Safc training ground today & club to push thro £2m signing from Sheff U shortly. Had also been chased by #NUFC."

Poor deluded fool :)  Also £2m? ???

Bruce probably figures it's worth risking £2m on promising young talent than wasting big money on over the hill midfielders who get you relegated.

26 isnt that young tbh

Didn't realise Kilgallon was 26 tbh. Even so it's hardly old age for a defender.
