Took some joy in Sam leaving, Moyes would be a good hire though. Still they have a lot of work to do with that squad.

Just to repeat it for the thousandth time, the FA hiring him is just a new level of ineptitude. There's some talent coming through too, can't believe they're going to be matched with archaic football. What a shitshow.

Pray for the mystery box...

All signs point to Fat Sam. It is comically similar to our own Manager woes and England fans will go through the same motions we did with McClaren.. Well at least he is the best English coach out there, we have tried big name managers and they didn't work etc. could be worse...

Really disappointed the F.A. are so hell bent on an English coach considering the weakness of the talent pool.

why are they interviewing Bruce, if everyones sure its SA?

They had to be seen interviewing more than one candidate. Maybe they wanted to as well. Either way the quotes today about the man they want all fits what SA thinks and tells people he is all about.

Inside FA board room:

"Christ we aren't hiring him are we? He's like a footballing dinosaur. Let's see what the next applicant is like. Ah hello Mr Bruce...."

"Let's just stick with the first guy."

England would have been better off hiring Moyes. Sunderland get the better end of this IMO.  Or are England only hiring pure-on English?

A lot of the English public think this is a good decision. Got Bolton to 8th or something fucking donkeys ago and is a no nonesense bloke, he'll sort 'em out, or something.

The FA are no different, their footballing knowlege is incredibly narrow for an organisation tasked with running the sport for an actual country.

Aye I dont see Moyes as too much of an improvement - thing is with Allardyce - he would have grinded out enough results next season to keep them in the Prem - Moyes nearly got a much better Everton side than the current Sunderland side relegated, so I actually see them struggling more in the short term with him than they would with Allardyce - if they dont get relegated next season then there's a chance he could be a sucess
