There will be a few RAWKesque breakdowns on TS today, Durham has launched into full on troll-mode about how shit these are this season and that Rodgers was made to look good by Suarez.

Classic second season syndrome. They still play good football and have exciting players, but last season was clearly a one-off in terms of them being serious challengers. Ballotelli just  isn't a LFC player. He's selfish, immobile and too inconsistent. A panic signing. They would have been much better off with Remy, who can work the flank, play on the shoulder, drop deep or play in behind. Mario is a talented individual but that's all he is. Gerrard needs dropped too and Coutinho needs to play.

Gerrard is like Shearer in his final season (not as bad, but a similar effect on the team). Good for pens and the odd set-piece, good for leadership, but little else.

I think they'd have been better off going for a stop-gap striker in the mould of an Eto'o or a Klose for one season, than going for Balotelli. Rodgers seemed to think that losing one controversial player meant he had to sign another one, except Balo has looked pap so far.

Aye, spot on there.

Liverpool will be fine once Sturridge returns to take some pressure off of Balotelli.

Not as good as last season, but will still push for a top four finish right up till the end of the season.

I'm amazed the media haven't picked up on Rodgers' awful record in the transfer market.

Borini £10m - average player they've tried to sell

Allen £15m - ok player but not worth that

Sakho £16m - looks Boumsong esque

Luis Alberto £7m - gone already

Iago Aspas £7m - shit

Tiago Illori £7m - never played

Mignonette £9m - very average

Kolo Toure - not been good since about 2005

Amy Sissokho (loan) - poor

Victor Moses - never did much

Is anyone expecting any better from

Lallana £25m

Balotelli £16m

Can £10m

Markovic £20m

Moreno £12m

Lambert £4m

Lovren £20m

He's done well with Sturridge and Coutinho and has got the best from Suarez, Henderson, Sterling etc but that's a woeful record

There's been the odd rumblings of it in the media. That he's fine improving what's already at a club but he's pretty shit at buying players. Can't remember who he bought for Swansea mind.

They just let him off and say it's not just down to him as he's just one part of the "transfer committee".

Glad the Balotelli thing is so far panning out how I thought it would for Liverpool, pretty much a disaster.

That guy needs to be brought down to the ground in his head. The way he fucks up and you can see him staring out the person that pass to him as if it's their fault. He's also a lazy cunt, too arrogant to chase the game with every fiber he has.

If he can be more humble, just give his all, the great performances and goals would come. He thinks he's stepped down to come to Liverpool, you can just see it in his body language.

For £16m Liverpool could have done so much better with that money.
