18 page thread on RTG of photos from the 2-1

yeah but to be fair for any of them under 40 it is the single biggest thing they've done in their lifetimes that they can remember clearly (scraped a win against their local rivals).

Shola's got a good record against the Mackems and i can see him scoring again. I'd absolutely love to see Carroll get the winner though, it'd give him such a boost.

Mind you, i thought Carroll looked as lively as i've seen him in the past few weeks - when he came on against Arsenal. It's similar to January, when we brought in a new striker. He needs that reminder now and again that his place isn't guaranteed. It worked wonders for him last time, he really pushed on.

Definitely 4-4-2 with them two up top, for me.

Krul

Simpson - Williamson - Coloccini - Enrique

Barton - Tiote - Nolan - Jonas

Ameobi - Carroll

I'm expecting a shite performance from Barton but it's worth sticking with him as he did play fairly well against West Ham. Can just see his crosses being dead wasteful, though. He's very once-in-a-blue-moon when it comes to performances nowadays.

"And yes, as soon as the game is finished, the Sunderland fans will wait in the stadium until the Newcastle fans, then the Mackems will get the bus back to Sunderland."

Yes, and they'll be home for a nice cup of hot cocoa and bed. Who are Look North kidding?
